as far as temps....I would keep them as cold as possible but not below 60 degrees. Ideal for me would be 62/62

I smoked this Macanudo that was gifted to me on Monday night. It was nice. It being Macanudo, I don't know what else to write other than it was good and tasty.
I also bought a H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon at one of my local shops on Monday and I'm still debating whether or not to smoke it tonight, thus using up my second allotted cigar of the week. I'm trying to start smoking the full flavor end of the spectrum and I read this one is full so hopefully it isn't overwhelming like the various Punch cigars I tried. The LADC I had last week for a bit was supposedly full flavored but I didn't feel it.Instagram: kvltbrah

the vintage cammys are no where near punch level. Theyre pretty smooth.

Whats the best way to cool of your humidor? I already have it in the coolest room in my place, should I aim a fan at it?

Never had them but the shops got a bunch of the el diario KB 4 packs that look good.
Whats the temp? Not much more you can do really, if you have a bigger container you can stick the humidor in there with a few ice packs and it will lower it a bit but other than that not much except get a wine cooler.*** Misc CIGAR Crew ***(smoking avi sub crew)

74 is high Imo but do whatever you like. Freeze your cigars and temp won't be much of an issue doe

how long do you guys freeze for?
going of this post, http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/genera...tml#post435477 I guess I should freeze for about a week since my freezer is at about a lil bit below 0*c...
Here's another good looking write up: http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/genera...ng-cigars.html
so basically brb double / triple freezer zip locks, suck air out, freeze for a week or so, let them chill in the fridge for a couple days, then finally to the humidor?
It's gonna take a few days to prep my wineador for cigar use, so I figured I might aswelll just freeze my whole stash in the meantime to make sure everything is legit...Last edited by pwoL; 08-14-2013 at 08:26 PM.

you only need to suck out the air in the bag which has the cigars. i only double bagged them. triple is overkill imo.
so:
bag
suck the air out
place that in another bag
throw right in the freezer
freeze for 4-6 days (depending on freezer temps)
pull out
sit in fridge for 12-24 hours
put in humidor
^ this is what I used to do. Now I dont freeze anything but I keep all my long term aging cigars at 65 degrees or lower. All my ready to smoke cc's sit no higher than 70 degrees. All my NC's are in a separate humidor at 70 degrees.** Misc Cigar Crew **

I was semi-stressed out today because of family and my bank with their slow mailing of my credit card that I decided to smoke my very first H. Upmann today. This was the Vintage Cameroon that I bought earlier in the week. I went to my balcony to sit and read while smoking. Holy chit, I honestly think this is the best cigar I have ever smoked ever since starting back in May. For it being full flavored, I didn't feel overwhelmed by it. It was smooth. Nice smell to the point that my little brother came out to tell me food was ready and even he said, "Holy crap that smells good." Tastewise, sweet with a nutty, leathery taste. The cedar sleeve that came with it helped give it an extra woody taste that became more profound when I started reaching the middle. Reading about it online, I guess it was supposed to be a throwback to the early Cubans. I can't wait for the day I actually get to try a Cuban. I honestly would buy an entire box of these and would have no problem becoming a once a day guy instead of twice a week because of how they great they are. Wouldrecommendheavily/10
(funny thing about that second pic is that you can see my poverty fireplace/grill matches box behind the book and while I was placing the cigar on the sleeve, the ash came off and I had to adjust the position so it looked like it didn't move.)Instagram: kvltbrah

J21 at lunch today. Super tight draw for some reason. Kind of ruined it a bit for me but it was still much needed.
