Does anyone have experience with the Pendlay vs. the current Rogue 0-90? They look very similar though the Pendlay is available in colors.

Within the next few weeks Rogue is supposed to be releasing their new adjustable bench. From the looks of the prototype they posted on their ******** page it will be a replica of the Nebula 1084, and I'm sure cost around the same (hopefully cheaper). If you are familiar with the 1084 you can get the option of a foot pad and it will allow you to work in the decline position. I am in the market for an adjustable bench as well and this is the one I am holding out for. Although, both are reputable companies and I'm sure both would be a good choice.

I have the Pendlay bench. I'd say its about the best value for $300 that I've seen.
If I had a $600 budget I'd be getting this without hesitation. It's $599 with free shipping.

It's way down the photos page, I believe they posted it in September or October. From the info I was getting from them the release date was already supposed to be here. I messaged them last week and they were not happy with the upholstery and had a mix up on some of the parts. So not sure on the exact release date. I have attached their prototype pic, embed for me if you would.

if rogue doesn't offer it, go to raecrowther.com. rogue bought nebula from them or something like that (old nebula stuff is serviced by raecrowther.com, new stuff from rogue). i know hans at raecrowther will add spotter stands. i've got an old nebula bench with just that, but looking to upgrade, since i never get any use out of the spotter stands.
i hope the rogue bench tightens up the gap between the seat and the back pad. on mine, the gap is nearly 5" (from top of the drop off, not actually where padding ends). on the latest from nebula, it was closer to 3.5". i'm hoping they can get it down to 1" or i might go with the sorinex np, though that decline feature is pretty neat. the ironmaster already does that, but it felt like i had to really climb up the super bench to get in position.

The Legend finally gets delivered Thursday but will be stored. I'm using the Elite in my rentals garage while our home is being built. I'll do a review when the gyms done but from the little I've used the Elite 0-90 I'm not overly excited about it. Prior to it I was using a commercial 0-90 Nautilus in my office. The Elite has too few positions. 2 inclines and a 90 degree for shoulders. The seat is either down or up. Its basically held up by a little flip bar. It's a real solid (heavy and stable) bench but it's probably going to be beat out by the Legend (which will be far more adjustable).

no, mine's from craigslist, so an original nebula piece. i think it's actually this one, which is basically the 1080 + lock-in capability + spotter stands (http://www.nebula-fitness.com/Produc...SubCategory=59). it weighs something like 150 lbs with the spotter stands.

The Sorinex No Problem bench is the "best bang for your buck" bench.
Why are your ivankos not on your weight storage? It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

I have never seen one in person but from the pictures and reviews it seems like an awesome bench, I didn't realize they were under $600. I have been holding out for the one Rogue is soon to release, you may have just changed my mind. I feel like the Rogue will be priced right with the Nebula, which was around the 1k mark.

The adjustability of the 4 way Legend is the best I've tried. Without question. I was surprised how stable it is considering its multiple positions. Most other true commercial benches are equally heavy and well built but at this price and the option of decline it's tough to beat. When the decline leg attachment is removed it's as compact as other benches. The Elite's seat gap is 3 inches. The Legend's is 1 in.
BTW, direct price is barely over $500 plus shipping from TN. I had it shipped with other pieces so I'm not sure what it would cost to ship here to Texas by itself.Last edited by BAVE; 01-18-2013 at 02:09 PM.

I still have the Legend in the back of my mind...
The only thing though is that the NP bench is basically the same price (granted it's not decline)...
And the NP bench doesn't suffer from the limitation of how the "pin" system is constructed:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...post1078213331
Just support from one side of the steel semi-circle support. While not really a problem... I doubt that system would hold the rear end of a truck up like the NP bench. I may still buy the Legend but not "loving" the pin support structure that is welded to the side, and will over time experience a lot of fatigue. (I probably would not stress it anywhere near the point of failure even after fatigue over two decades, but it is my nature to like things over-built)
That truck picture on the NP bench really makes a bold statement.

A few days back I ran into a problem with the pin on the seat portion of the Legend. It would get stuck in the hole and not "push" through without a little extra force. In other words, if I was not paying attention it could have caused the seat to drop because it was not set properly. It seems to have fixed itself but its something I will always pay attention to now. I find myself using the EliteFTS (Williams Strength) bench most of the time. Looking at the NP bench the Elite looks a bit more robust. The elite also is absent of any rubber caps like the NP. The NP bench has more adjustability than the Elite that I have.

That NP bench does look like a VERY robust and safe design.
The only things I don't care for about it are the typical narrow seat (my personal preference), and the incline settings:
0, 15, 30, 40, 60, 90 degrees
For shoulder press DB work, I don't so much care for 90 degrees... Actually don't care for it at all, 80 is perfect. 60 is too low obviously.

My experience with the NP has been very good. It is very robust and beautifully constructed. Everything from the upholstery to the welds are a work of art.
My only complaint is the location of the handle to pick it up and roll it around. It's too low which can be awkward. The bench is very heavy. Not a deal breaker by any means but still somewhat annoying.()---() York Barbell Club #30 ()---()
