Just heard about the 27 killed at least 18 children at a conneticut elementary school. This just another thing that looks bad on our gun culture. As an American who owns many guns responsibly in a state like nj that enjoys hunting, I hate seeing this ****. It makes guns look so bad.


It's as simple and cliche as guns don't kil people, people kill people. If it wasn't a gun, the man would have killed the children with knives or gas.

Wait for a school assembly, the times for which are widely disseminated. Block exits from assembly. Set building on fire using accelerants. (Gasoline comes to mind, although if you recall, the bomb that brought down the Federal Building in OKC fit in the back of a U-Haul truck and was made from easily acquired legal items.

Yeah, I suppose if all of those kids had a gun they could have stopped him in his tracks. If his intention were to harm that many, I'm sure he could have done so without the ease of a fire arm.

I disagree that kids should have guns to defend themselves.. lol Children should not have to even worry about that. They should be concerned with learning their shapes, numbers, and waiting for recess and lunch time.


However, yes, the gunman could have used any number of things if he really wanted too. He could have locked the doors and set the place a blaze, he could have used anthrax, a number of gasses. Guns didn't kill those kids, the shooters did. And it's ****ed up.

Yes and No. Doesn't really matter though does it? Because Knives and Gas don't kill people in these situations, the people using those things as weapons are the ones committing the murders.

Well let's think about this for a minute braintrust.

Go make a bomb. I'll go load my rifle. You stand on one end of a football field, Ill stand on the other lets see how it works out for you. And i've got 30 potential ways to end your life in 1 magazine, and 10 magazines on me. You're going to have to make a lot of bombs to match that.

Let's try gasses. I've got a scope on my rifle and I'm good to about 400-500 yards...got any gases that kill 500 yards or more away? Didn't think so.

Ive seen way more people get treated for and recover from diseases than i have people coming back from a gunshot.

You can use a fire extinguisher to put out a fire, what are you going to use to put out a wound bleeding so heavily from a gunshot that you'll likely be close to dead before you're done reading this sentence.
