I know!
Thank-you.
Welcome back from vacation!
LOL
That's a good one.
Thanks LBM, I'm sure I'll be fine but gotta be proactive vs. reactive here.
Caffeine and synephrine are not stims...they are a training necessity.
I've always been nattie.
Nuts too. LOL
Hope...and prayer Joel!
Me too will.
I'm not famous enough yet for anybody to include me in their bodybuilding dead pool like Munzer, Atwood, or Benaziza.
Thanks and coming up Hoosier.
Why, thanks.
You're right, every shot that has been fired has missed!
I think you're bigger than me.
Thank-you bro!
I gotz teh results...you win!

The Dr.'s visit
He used VERY big words I cannot remember to spell them correctly but there was some mumbo jumbo about left ventricle, my ticker not pumping enough blood SOME TIMES, and some muscles in my heart don't get enough oxygen and it seems to be P.O'd about this concept and tends to sqwuak.
There are some indications of heart disease but he cannot tell until there are more tests.
I am not in immediate danger of dying and he left me with more questions that cannot be answered.
I also have an enlarged heart (which to me is not abnormal considering my hobby and I do not consider it a problem).
So, I get more tests done, also have a hormone test soon.
I was encouraged to keep up with my weight lifting but told not to be squatting 4-500 lbs..
225 would suffice.
Gawdamn sacrilege if you ask me.
Do I plan on not lifting 405 when I can?
Phuck no.
My weight was also mentioned...in accordance to the body mass index scale...LOL!
My 1st show was my best imo.
I'm going to return to my roots.
But better.
My training.
Layne Norton's diet and cardio protocols.
and maybe I'll meet someone soon to teach this white boy some moves for posing.

It sounds like relatively good news .... an 'enlarged' heart in the BB/athlete context usually means a hypertrophied (i.e.. muscular) heart which is normal compared with a 'dilated' heart where it is ballooning because it is failing
Same thing about the heart not pumping enough blood 'sometimes' .... there will always be points at which demand will outstrip supply
As for BMI .... we're all 'overweight' if not obese
So in summary, keep repping those 405s"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

Good that you can keep training!
Good that they are running more tests to figure out what exactly is going on. I know that's a pain in the ass but needed. BMI is a joke for athletes as we carry far more muscle then the average person which completely throws the reading out to lunch. We all know this but its sad that most doctors don't realize this. Hopefully they are more up to speed on treating hearts!
It will be nice once they have things figured out so they can tell you your treatment options. Focus on what you have control over atm, your diet and training and let the doctors worry about the rest.Last edited by Vanguard1965; 03-11-2013 at 01:00 PM.

LOL.
While I'd never advise someone to discount Dr's orders, I think we all would agree that SOP for MD's these days is to recommend using light weight. There's something about malpractice lawsuits that seems to bring that kind of advice out.No brain, no gain.

Agreed, I know when the wool is being pulled over my eyes!
I will
try
kinda
try
to be
normal
.
Damn straight!
Thanks for the inside guidance and scoop Andrew, it is appreciated.
I am the REAPER!
Wut's that about my gut???
Good thing I comprendez-vous das German.
I think my hormones are a problem...tests will be done.
I really need that to happen for me to move on in good conscience.
I'll be satisifed when I can get my blood work done and see what my T levels are at.
All that work and dieting last year did NOT add up to what it should have.
Thanks Hoosier.
You're right, if it's there...I'm gonna lift it.
They're pretty safe over here with that.
Both my father and my uncle died because of malpractice and there is not a leg we can stand on to sue them.
Fortunately, my GP is buff and very bodybuilding friendly.

Update
Went to a new gym last Sunday and lost all my lifting stuff...straps, new gloves, log book. When I went back it was gone, some bugger stole it. WTF they want with my paper journal I don't know.
This kinda completely phucked me up and I lost my lifting mojo for a few days.
I bought new gloves and a new pair of wrist straps.
This has been my 1st ever pair of straps I've actually purchased.
I usually pick them up from the gym's lost and found just like that momo did who is now using my stuff.
Karma's a b*tch.
I've also been sick with bronchitis and this has waylaid my plans for cardio as I cannot breath well. Lifting still though.
I cranked out a 315x2 Good Morning Thursday and was pleased with a 225 Smith machine Shoulder Press at the other gym Friday. (I cannot come close to this on my gym's Smith machine)
Today, Saturday I get meds for my bronchitis, I have a new paper journal, and I get to test drive my new gloves and straps.
I just need a new hat and my gym gear is complete.
I should be ready to roll on here later today!

Bad luck about the gym bag .... I know I'd be lost without all my accumulated straps/chalk/belts etc. Bummer about the log as well ... all the more reason to log it here
Regardless of that: sick work on the good mornings! 315 is a beast weight!"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Hormones? Bronchitis? Stolen gym gear? WTF!!
You know many would have used any one of those to say **** it and give up but not you Brian because you are just one stubborn Ukrainian!
That kind of dedication is inspiring. Sounds like you have the gym gear situation handled. Bronchitis will get better. Good that your not doing cardio anyways since it interferes with the gains!
As for the hormones sounds like TRT might be in your future? I would think as long as your T stays within normal ranges one should still be allowed to compete in natty shows?"We all have great inner power. The power is self-faith. There's really an attitude to winning. You have to see yourself winning before you win. And you have to be hungry. You have to conquer."

I have heard of stories that would creep us both out as to what they would want with that but I'll save it.
-and right outta your car...that's low.
Meds and time make a better me big M.
Thanks!
NOT my gym bag, my gym gear.
If I do not have my paper journal I cannot remember my sets and reps to journal them here. My journal is a training requirement imo. lol
Literally sick
+ work
Thank-you, I like good mornings. Very few are as good at them as I feel I am.
I am stubborn D but I've also had my fair share of slacking time since October. Please do not give me credit I have not earned.
-but thank-you.
I have done the TRT route before and thought myself "cured". The IDFA let me compete then too, my 1st show. It has been a few years since the TRT and I was not on it long (6 months). Always supervised by my Dr., bi-weekly Test checks.
I do NOT want to do that again.
I hava always prided myself being nattie...and that just makes me completely unsure of what is really me.
Not my gym bag, just my gloves, straps, journal, hat.
Pumping Iron-Arnold telling the story of his car being stolen...oh well...I got training to do after the phone calls are made.
Besides, if I would have remembered to take them they would not have been stolen.
Thank-you MHL.
Pretty much.
Me too Dru.
I'm a mess right now physically.

you don't even look that big and you use a bunch of smith machines in your work out. can you smell that? cause i seem to smell some smoke coming out of your ass. "if you have more muscle than I and are equivalent in height your probably juicing?" get out of here with that ****. someone needs to try a dirty bulk and actually build some mass then you can talk.
