Squat Cage + Bench

I'm looking for a Squat Cage + a bench for christmas to setup in my garage. I was looking on line and found http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...3&clickid=cart and also http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...4&clickid=cart. I will more than likely go to DSG to look at them in person and buy them in store before I do, but also I wanted to know what you guys think of these two items? I'm looking for around 400$ for a rack and 200$ or less for a bench. If you guys know of one for a really good price or own a rack that's in this price range by all means let me know!

I have to go to the next town to the YMCA which is split for about three other towns to use.. It's busy most of the time and like most people my time I would end up going is usually around rush hours and i'm not much for having to wait for someone to finish. I'd like to spend an hour or so taking my time and not be bothered by waiting on people to finish/start their sets.

Those look quite good ones not that many under 400$ power cages.

I have $550 into my rack, incline/decline bench, 370lb of weights, and a set of 90lb powerblock is with pedestal, search Craigslist, **** comes up often. I'm not a teen so take my advise, I've got that older than you knowledge.

Lol yeah, definately buy your own rack, even if i had a ymca next door i wouldn't go there, only thing with your own set up is the price, me and my older brother went halves in a gym set up, got a monolift, deadlift platform, heavy duty bench, about 900lb's of weight and around 500lbs of bands/chains. We also got a texas deadlift bar and some random, old squat bar. I cant remember how much all of this was, i only ended up paying $5000, but that was way less than half, so in the long run its probably cheaper just to buy the stuff yourself

I bought this exact power cage from the dicks sporting goods site about a year ago and it is excellent. I'd definitely recommend buying it. I use mine a lot.

I've got a bench, two pull-up bars, dip station, squat rack, 500 pounds of weights, shifting dumbbells that go up to 100 pounds, and i got all of it from different places and ended up paying less than $500. Nothing fancy, but I've got all i need. It's so much cheaper than a gym membership. home gym ftw.

By the way, i've been following your log. Definitely mirin strength stats. What routine would you say gave you the best strength gains? I'm looking to increase my strength.

Deffently going to go to DSP and look at this in person. I also might wait to see if I can get some coupons for % off along with Black Friday deals. You never know this might go on sale for cheap. My guess is if they're trying to get a newer model in then it will go on sale

I did a fullbody routine which I can give you of you want


It is not fun and I would recommend eating a ****ton while doing it

Bump. Trying to figure out for anyone that owns this cage if the bar on the bottom gets in the way when trying to unrack the bar? Read a few reviews saying it does but, they mentioned an easy fix is to turn around. Debating if this bench is worth it since it is from DSP.
