Just drove an hour to pick up some Jeni's. At $9.99 per pint, I could only convince myself to pick up one, The Buckeye State. I also picked up B&J's S'mores and Imagine Whirled Peace since I've never seen them in store before. Also decided to try chocolate vanilla swirl Stonyfield organic froyo to give myself a low-cal option. I will try to post pictures later.

I'm kinda leaning with Erick here. They're pricey online and dry ice shipping ain't cheap, but you're running an ice cream blog that seems to be turning heads these days. Would be a worthy purchase.

If I drove an hour just for this, I'd have to get more even at $10/pint. Willing to give something I am into a shot at least once, which is why I have gotten through so many Jeni's pints since the summer.

And I am a huge chocolate fan, so I am probably doing myself a disservice, especially since I now know where they sell it.. I am hoping it isn't $10 a pint in the store.. There is a store near me that sells Jeni but its $10.99... Been thinking long and hard about that purchase..

Agreed.

If anyone is put-off by chocolate bases because of the over-powering chocolate taste, then I highly recommend Talenti's Chocolate PB.

IMO it's the smoothest, creamiest and mellow chocolate base I ever had. It compliments the PB cups perfectly.

This is about the same thing that happened to me, Fell inlove with it on rescoop.
Have slowed down on the ice cream as of late, unfortunately. I did happen to try the HD Caramel Cone, that Chad just reviewed, the other day and was quite impressed by the quality that the cone pieces stayed in. Definitely won out over Americone Dream although i know there is a slight difference.
Also rescooped Late Night Snack last night. I enjoyed it more than the first time as more f the Potatoe chip clusters were actually crunch this time, but i find that they still have a problem with consistency in that area. The caramel swirl was quite present, salty, and deliscious. I'm now a firm believer that the quantity of swirl can make or break a Pint.

Didn't know he reviewed it, I had Caramel Cone this morning. I liked it though. And.... Is it just me or does Haagen Dazs pints feel like they last just a bit longer, despite the fact that they shrunk their pints down to 14 fluid oz, from 16?

They shrunk it, and it feels like more than Ben and Jerry's.

Also try Pralines and cream bro, awesome.

Awesome! I'm glad you're getting this flavor some publicity. In my opinion, it's worlds better than Americone Dream...which I don't eat at all now, because of this flavor. The cone pieces were buttery, chocolate dipped, sweet and retained their crunch. The sweet caramel ice cream really works well with this combination. Underrated flavor...and available nationwide!

Bananas foster is AWESOME! When it was limited, I was sad that it would be D/Cd but I guess 7/11 picked it up and made it permanent. The ingredients are basically bananas, cream/milk/sugar/eggs, brown sugar/cinnamon/nutmeg and actual rum. This flavor tastes completely authentic. It smells almost like banana bread, but the taste is legit. The brown sugar rum swirls taste like those you'd find in a gourmet dessert. 840 calories for the entire container. Hard to beat.

Rescooped Talenti Chocolate PB cup (Target Sale FTW) over the last 3 days based on recommendations from this thread.. Better than I remember, absolutely delicious.. I may be biased because of my love of chocolate and peanut butter, but this may be one of the best execution of these flavors.. Definitely one of my favs and will be in my rotation in the future..

Yes sir, it's a Walgreens exclusive so, call ahead, or check your stores stock on walgreensdotcom, it's amazing dude, seriously.

I've found myself being attracted to certain ben and jerry's flavors over others like, Phish Food for example.

I do love Ben and Jerry's, but I'm glad I gave Haagen Dazs another chance. Salted Caramel Biscuit almost killed my chances of the other flavors. Thank goodness for this thread man.
