Is it fine if I run twice a day? I'll only be doing 1.5 mile sprints takes me about 8 and a half minutes. Will doing that in the morning and night every day be bad?
Edit: Running*

Well cardio everyday is fine, but what's your goal with it? Why do you want to sprint twice a day? If you just enjoy it go for it. LOL If you are actually training your sprint, like trying to improve it.. then twice a day would not be the most effective way to go about it.
Most people that run twice a day will like have one hard run and one easier run. I was just wondering if you had an actual goal.

I've not had any problem running twice a day. But I've usually done it when I need to split my long run in two - say two 1 hour easy runs.
It could be more of an issue with speed work, and I think you'd get more benefit if you combined the two sessions into one, with a 90-120 second recovery interval in between.

i d say it s a little too much. I think if you sprint too often you burn a lot of calories, your muscles don t get enough rest to grow and your body adapts to cardio-levels. Just my 2 cents. However if you are more concerned about being healthy than being big, i d say sprinting everyday multiple times is a good thing. It depends on your goals i think.

i use to run twice a day, but i was building miles up while training for an ultra-marathon and the split was b/c I have ITBS (an overuse injury 12% of serious distance runners get- it sucks) so i had to give it a break after 10-15 miles and ice things before i did the other 10-15. there is nothing wrong with running 2x per day (especially with that distance b/c your not putting in too many miles- i learned the hard way that can lead to serious problems).
i agree with grace_ou, if that works for you okay, but again, why? that isn't the best way to go about cutting or reducing body fat. 8.5 mins for 1.5 miles isn't exactly a sprint unless your doing intervals with recoveries. where and how are you running that 1.5 miles? are you doing 100 meter repeats with recoveries, ladders or just fartleks?
if your just looking to cut a short run in the a.m. fasted may help (there is mixed research out there on the fasted am cardio theory, but i feel that as long as your not lifting or looking for a PR why not put in 10-20 minutes of something to increase your heartrate and get the blood-pumping in the a.m. on an empty stomach... it also makes breakfast taste a little better). If you really want to do cardio 8.5 mins isn't going to be that effective.
I'm a fitness training and specialist in sports nutrition and i have a great success with clients and body fat loss when we add a session or two of longer easier cardio doing something that they can sustain for 30-60 minutes. in order for your body to start using fatty acids as fuel you have to decrease all your glucose and glycogen stores (hence why most people do HIIT right after they lift- the lifting depletes these stores so then they are burning fatty acids- that's the theory). With the longer cardio sessions it helps you achieve this and fat oxidation does require oxygen which is why aerobic exercise helps burn stored body fat, but lifting is important b/c LBM (lean body mass) burns more calories through out the day even at rest. cardio without strength isn't the answer, but you do need the longer cardio on occassion for optimal results I believe, plus it's good for to be well-rounded fitness wise- with that i mean be strong in all aspects of fitness: cardio endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility.
i think that everyone would be able to answer your question and help you more if you explained what your doing for runs (intervals, fatleks, etc) and what your specific goals are.... are you looking to improve your 100 meter time, just burn fat or are you training for a sport?
