Bulk has come to an end, I peaked out at about 215lbs. Going into a short two week cut to get bf back into check, then I will ramp calories back up a little as my training demands keep growing. New diet looks something like this.
Meal 1
3 egg whites
1 full egg
3 strips of bacon
Meal 2
6-8oz chicken or lean beef
1 sweet potato
Meal 3
6-8oz chicken or lean beef
1 cup cauliflower
2-4 cups whole milk
or
50g whey
2-4 cups whole milk
Post workout shake
50g whey
50g karbolic
Shake after each training session as I will be beginning two a days soon. Guessing on calories a little but approximately 2300-2500.-jdflex23

Little behind on my posts, a couple of notable things to mention from my past few workouts.. Clean 225 PR and Overhead squat 135 PR.. I am pretty happy about the overhead squat considering a week ago I could barely do 65x3. Different movement if your not used to it.

Hey man. Its awesome what youre doing. I actually got a bit of inspiration from it. Im going to go look into nfl combines. It will certainly take me a while to get ready for one. In a few years though i may be ready. I wish you the best of luck with your endevour, and thank you for posting the thread. Keep working hard, because you know the other guys trying for the squad arent voing to give it to you.
"The hardship of the exercises is intended less to strengthen the back than to toughen the mind. The Spartans say that any army may win while it still has it's legs under it; the real test comes when all strength has fled and the men must produce victory on will alone." (Pressfield,1998, p.78)

Since you so kindly disagree with my statement, and don't seem to agree with me at all. I would like to point out some flaws you dont seem to recognize. Your Clean record is 225? At my high school (the same high school Stephen Paea attend who set the 225 record at 49reps) the average varsity player is able to clean at least 225lbs at 17-18yrs. Your looking to return kicks, which is possible one of the most dangerous positions without ever paying in college. When was the last time you where running at full speed, and got flat backed by a linebacker? Or gone up to catch a ball only to get hit in mid air? Are you even doing any football related drills?

Never cleaned before bud, 225 was a clean and press.. My previous 225 bench record was 24 reps (after a 3rep max of 365) I too like you had a shoulder issue, so Its currently not there but should be respectable when the time comes around. I have deadlifted over 525, squated 435.. so my strength is right up there so I am not too worried about it, never claimed to be the strongest guy in the world... The above measurments where at about 190lbs as well. Speed, quickness and agility are my strengths as well as my vison. I haven't played padded in a couple years but can assure you I am know stranger to taking hits. Anyhow, good talk. I am doing this for me, and for fun. I know where I stand I don't need to try to explain myself to some 19yr old troll with 12posts/no avi. Take your **** elsewhere bro.

You going to be competing with the some best up n coming athletes in the game. You made a training log you have received high notes and motivation which you deserve, but yet you refuse to take any criticism even into consideration. the "19yr old troll with 12posts/no avi." is someone who is training along side the athletes you could possibly be competing against.

I respectively understand that and thanks for your criticism but you project it with a negative attitude. That being said, as I have gone over before, I training the dynamic side of things, strength side as well as general endurance and conditioning. I run routes, catch balls, and do technique work as often as I can. What do you think is missing? Please point out my "flaws". Is it that at this time my clean is sub par, considering that I have a high deadlift and squat obviously that is a technique issue and one of my focal points for improvements. Everyone has weak points, I am working to address mine, lucky for me that I am still at the level I'm at with such a weak clean right? This all being said, again what do you think could be added because all aspects of training are included. I'm not trying to flame you dude but wtf. Follow along or don't.

You can do it bro!
Hey man! I have the same goal as you! I'm playing d2 ball now , just had acl surgery, just got off the crutches and started riding the bike again just on Monday. Being d2 you don't get many looks, but with hard work and a lil luck, you can do anything. All the odds are against me as well, but if there's one thing that life has thought me is that when all odds are against you, and you work harder to beat them, not only are the rewards greater , so is the satisfaction. I'm going to prove the nay Sayers wrong, and I tip my hat to you and hope you do as well! Work hard, commit yourself, be fueled by the negatives of the nay sayers, be filled with all the positive encouragement, always stand back up and I have no doubt that I'll be standing on the same field with you some day! Best of luck friend!

These are posts you should be focusing on OP. He wasn't bashing you, just trying to get you to understand that you have to look at your flaws objectively. I don't know much about NFL combines but I do know that they won't care about your max lifts and it seems like a lot of their testing will be focusing on various drills. Don't just focus on the lifting and dieting portion (although these are incredibly important) but also realize that you'll need to have the muscle memory to perform various drills in different scenarios. That's whats gonna make you great, not just the strength.
This is a ****ty comment and something you should either completely disregard or use to fuel yourselfNickHammondDesign.com

I just drank a preworkout shake after a nap. I think it kicked in right when I was reading this. All I could think of was, I should try to get into porn.. I think I put a bit too much maca root into this shake. Also, of the four OP's best investment would be the NFL, then Hollywood (upside), UFC (bad downside), then Porn (do they even pay guys? why? also, AIDS.)

OP, curious as to how you made out on this?
