So I went to the emergency room 2 weeks ago for chest pains and they found that my creatine kinase levels were too high. Told me to stop taking creatine monohydrate and stop going to the gym for a little. I was on a bulk so i decided to go back to my maintanace calories and also go on a ketogenic diet since i wont be needing those carbs for energy. I am ready to lift again on Monday. Question is, do I go back to my normal 40/40/20? I have been noticing fat loss with this diet but don't know if it is good for a bulk. If you think I should go back to my 40/40/20, how do I make the transition?
Thank you

On any diet you should be able to make muscle gains with a surplus of calories and enough protein. If you are finding good fatloss with muscle gains, and you like the keto lifestyle I suggest stick to it for a while, you may be able to reach your goals without the excessive bodyfat. Most people use keto as a fat loss while retaining muscle diet only, but there are people who use it all year round. Having a higher calorie intake if common for bulking for a reason: it yeilds good results for lots of people.
Note that two weeks on keto wont have gotten you deep into ketosis, do what feels right. I hope that helps
