Is that how much these motors are actually going for in the states?
They go from 1800+ but talked to the guy on this took video of compression test 165ish on all 6, and gave me another month of warranty on it so decided to take it.
How much are they in japan?

Yea, I guess that isnt bad if its in good condition, not to mention, id think they would be harder to get in the states.
Ive seen some people sell these motors for $1000-1300, but not in a while. Seems like everyone is hoarding them lately. Someone just posted up a day ago and hes selling the motor, trans, computer, one-piece drive shaft and mounts for $2000.

A lot of companies import them over so always see a lot for sale.... That's not bad, about the same as here... How much does a 1jz go for? I want to pick one up as well..

I've got an s2k and an m3. This is what a good sounding motor sounds like =)

Don't like s2k but m3 fuuark i love those, I'm actually trying to pick an imola red with imola interior 6spd or LSB and put an exhaust on it, some csl mods but will have to do that after i fix my is300s head gaskets and sell it. doing rb25 as a project and have the IS as a daily but want an m3 as a daily...

If you get an e46 m3 you will not be disappointed. Deff get the red on red. I've got carbon black with nappa black interior, kind of just fit in with the rest of the m3's but not disappointed =)
