Oops I took some creatine!
So I bought some pre-workout stuff today that contained creatine. I didnt know this until AFTER taking it. I know, I should have looked before I bought it! Im just concerned that Im going to get bloated tonight! Hopefully this one time wont make a difference? Im in the process of cutting, so creatine is definitely the last thing I want. Crap. Just needed to rant

What it does is hold more water in the muscles, rather than subcutaneously. You might gain a few pounds but you won't have that bloated-I-just-ate-a-ton-of-pasta look - the muscles will appear fuller.

Don't worry about it. I use Creatine every day (2 grams) and have never gotten bloated from it (both during cutting & building phases). I think some women initially take a bigger dose because the labels (I think) are mostly based on men who are bigger, generally. Here is a link about Creatine:

I use Creatine Monohydrate and add it to my post workout shake. If you don't want to take it, that's fine, but don't be concerned about one dose The Pre-Workout I use is Amino Energy and there isn't creatine in that one.

Thank you so much for your advice! It makes me feel better haha! Normally, I wouldnt mind - but its friday night and im trying to go out and look nice. No bloating wanted over here. But, youre right. Theres no need to worry. I will look into that pre-workout. Thanks!

I take 10g of creatine a day. Lost 2 lbs this week and 2 lbs last week.

One 'dose' won't do anything, creatine shouldn't bloat you (water retention is primarily intracellular) and it's worth taking every day of the year.

^^^THIS, I take it daily no matter what I'm doing with weight, never has negatively impacted a cut for me. One dose won't even do anything OP, but just so you know you can no longer claim you're natty.

I think you have to build it up in your system with a few doses for anything to really happen, so like everyone else is saying-- you have nothing to worry about. I wanted to use it and tried it, but it made me have to pee like mad all the time (to be fair, I do drink a lot of water at the gym) and I just didn't think it was worth it.

I take 6 grams of creatine monohydrate 325 in my coffee every morning before I leave for the day. Sometimes I workout out first thing, sometimes later on in the afternoon. I don't sweat it. I read somewhere the uptake works really well first thing in the morning. Plus I'm gone all day. I haven't had any problems.

creatine takes a few days of taking frequently just to saturate your muscles
