    Strength On A Cut

Looking to cut at a 200-300 calorie deficit from my maintenance of 2620 calories for the next few months. Would my overall strength decrease or would it even increase? Running ss now with a 135kg squat, 90kg bench and a 170kg deadlift.

Nothing to worry about - that's a nice, safe deficit, and you seem like you know what you're doing. Keep the protein and weight on the bar both high.

You'll probably be a tiny bit weaker during the cut from reduced energy intake and glycogen storage, but it'll come back quickly when you get back on maintenance intake again.

I have heard about using low amounts of creatine to maintain strength. http://www.muscleandstrength.com/for...-trying-to-cut (3rd post)
