Brave and honorable men and women! Worthy of respect and admiration. I have a nephew who served in the Marines, two tours of duty in Iraq. One purple heart! A fine young man.

I also knew a Chosin Brother who made it out of the frigid war. I'll be tipping one (or two) in honor to your grandfather and all other Brothers on the 10th.....AND the 11th.

My Father was "Magnificent Seventh."
May 1949 to May 1953.
I will never pretend to understand what happened at the Reservoir. I do not want to know.
Semper Fi, you glorious Motherfuckers.

Sonofabitch....your Father is now added to my tipping list.
BTW...that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me as you really nailed that 'MF' part.

First - Your posts are supposed to end with "Carry on".
Second - I meant to emphasize "Glorious". (Of course, you knew that)
This is what a Marine looks like when he isn't all prettied up in his Dress Uniform.

Happy Birthday Marines!
237 years. That is one heck of a legacy. Outstanding. I hope you all celebrate.

SP1966.....good vids to watch with my morning mud.
The Silent Drill Team is quite impressive as always.
The boot camp vid brings back some vivid memories....and some terrifying ones for an 18 years old I might add.
That's MCRD San Diego with the quite famous yellow footprints.
My young, dumb ass was standing on a pair of those muthers on 9/1/66.
I guess I really was that young at one time.
acrawlingchaos.....their default combat attire is certainly more impressive than it was in my era during the Holocene Epoch.
If I get brave enough I might post one of my pics for a stark comparison.
Thanks to those that chimed in.
Carry on.....mas cafe para mi.

Watching those bootcamp videos always brings a smile to my face!! I took a week or two to adjust, but after that it was actually a lot of fun, very challenging, yet I can honestly say I enjoyed it! The other thing about those bootcamp videos that brings about a chuckle is reading the comments from the limp wrist, liberal weenies talking crap, they would wet their panties if they found themselves there!!

Ain't that the truth on all points.
It's hell earning that coveted EGA.....but I wouldn't trade it for anything plus there's few of us left.
