I've seen many different variations of the answer to this question... But for example to build muscle for using barbell curls for example... Is it best to use HIGH weight and LOW rep or LOW weight and HIGH rep? I've seen many articles leaning towards the HIGH weight LOW rep regime, but I don't feel like I can do as well doing this, and my form tends to get screwy doing this. I feel like I have more of a burn and control using a lower/medium weight for maybe a few sets of 8-10 reps.
Any suggestions?
I'm 5'6 155 lbs with a toned/athletic build.
Thanks guys!! Or inbox me!

High weight low rep. High enough to stay in the 5-6 reps range, low enough to allow you not to **** up your form too badly. Most people tend to progress quicker doing this, mostly in the strength department. You could switch up by doing 8-10 reps in the first two sets, then raising the weights for the last two.

Really depends on your goals. Are you looking to build peak strength? If so i'd go low rep / high weight. If your looking to put on size anywhere from 8 - 12 reps is pretty standard and if your hitting failure you should see some good results. Also try to increase your volume if your looking to build size also (ex. 4 sets of 8 - 12 instead of 3)
