    Combining 2 meals?

    Hi,

I'm trying to lose fat and it's going pretty well so far...it's school holidays now so I'm waking up a little later than I use to. I'm eating 6 times a day with at least 20g protein per meal. My first meal is at 8.00am and my second is at 10.30am, I'm now waking up at around 10.30am each day.

My question is: Should eat meal 1 and meal 2 both at the same time (~10.30am) since I'm waking up later?
    Why and why not?

Eat whenever it works best for your schedule. Net calories will determine weight gain/loss at the end of the day (not timing).

it's is fine to combine the two meals since meal timing is irreverent . you will have just 5 meals instead of 6 . remember that hitting your daily caloric intake and your macros requirements is far more important
    - Caloric balance and micro/macronutrient sufficiency are what matter. The names of the foods you consume do not matter.

Thanks everyone. I always hear people say timing is irrelevant. But what about in terms of protein absorption? I read that you can only process ~30g every couple hours.

Yea but you don't just crap out the excess, your body holds it then starts processing more when it is ready.
