Been busy lately...
Last Friday's workout
Sheiko 29
Week 3 Day 3
6/7/13
Squat
45 x 2 x 5
135 x 1 x 5
205 x 1 x 5
245 x 1 x 4
290 x 2 x 3
330 x 6 x 3
Squats were a huge headgame. I had to talk myself into every set, and fight for every single rep.
Bench
45 x 2 x 5
145 x 1 x 5
175 x 1 x 4
205 x 2 x 3
230 x 7 x 3
Bench was super easy today. Had a guy working in with me and we were going set for set with now down time.
Face pulls
Cable pull aparts

Man, things have been crazy. Car accidents, summer courses, and tornado after tornado. I've still kept on the program though. No missed days, but as you can see earlier, some days I've had to scratch some sets of squat. Not today though.
Sheiko 29
Week 4, Day 1
Cardio
Actually been doing this every workout
5 minutes of bike
3 minutes of shoulder bike
Face Pulls
60 x 3 x 12
Squat
45 x 2 x 5
135 x 1 x 5
205 x 1 x 5
245 x 1 x 4
290 x 2 x 3
330 x 5 x 3
Switched from all the free trial pre workouts that I've been using back to 2 scoops of C-4 and finally got back my old focus and muscle memory and everything for squat. Craze, white flood, and some other brand just didn't quite cut it. Finally had a good weekend for recovery too, slept and ate well for the first time in a while. Came in the gym strong and knocked everything out
Bench
45 x 2 x 5
160 x 1 x 5
190 x 1 x 5
215 x 5 x 4
Bench is getting so easy. So pleased with myself that I'm finally getting bench to work out.
Front Squats
Phuck my life
45 x 2 x 5
95 x 1 x 5
165 x 2 x 5
205 x 2 x 4
245 x 3 x 3
Front squats were so stupid hard. My legs were fine, but my lower back started to round, upper back was super tight, but the real problem was with my wrists kinking. Definitely need to work on loosening my triceps, shoulder, elbow, and wrist flexibility.
3 Super Sets of
Face Pulls
Cable Pull aparts
Chinups

Sheiko 29
Week 4, Day 2
The end is near
BW 171.4 (WTF? Summer time, dropping water weight?)
Bench
45 x 2 x 5
145 x 1 x 5
175 x 1 x 4
205 x 2 x 3
230 x 2 x 3
245 x 3 x 2
Sumo Deads
135 x 2 x 5
225 x 1 x 3
260 x 1 x 3
305 x 2 x 3
Add Belt
350 x 2 x 3
These were gettin pretty hefty
370 x 3 x 2
Felt heavy, no grinders though
350 x 3 x 2
Hands were killing me, got them though.
All in all, pretty awesome. Hook gripped everything, so my thumbs are a bit sore, no biggy, I'll get used to it.
Back to Bench
45 x 2 x 5
145 x 1 x 5
175 x 1 x 5
205 x 4 x 5
Is that all you got? Bench was really easy today.
Face Pulls
Pull aparts
and such.
So lately, bench has been super easy, deadlifts have been just alright, and squats have been "holy ****" killer. Obviously I've got 1 more workout left on Sheiko 29, but I missed a couple of the second squat sessions, so I don't feel right moving on to 37. I'm thinking about running 29 again but with an extra 2.5% on bench, 2.5% on deads, and squats staying the same. What are you guy's thoughts? Do you think I could jump to 37 using my previous weights and just not add anything yet? Or would it be worth it to go back and get these 4 weeks perfect before moving on?
Lemme know what you think

Nice deads. Good to see that you'r deadlifts are progressing again. I know how much it can suck to struggle with weights that used to be easy. (Hook grip ftw, hurts like a bitch but the bar ain't going anywhere)

Haha, sorry I must have missed that. I remember when you were making the switch, but I didn't know if you stuck with it. Things have been really crazy lately and I've hardly had enough time to update my own log, much less check out everyone else's, sorry brah, I'll have to catch up on it.
Thanks on the advice about Sheiko. Still not sure what I'm going to do. Missed the Friday workout yesterday because life happened, but oh well. I"ll use the weekend to rest and recover and then do the week 4, day 3 workout on Monday. Finish strong, ya know? Use Wednesday and Friday as some rest and refit light days, and then start whatever I'm going to get into next on the following Monday. Missing a workout feels like chit brah... Ready to get back into it.

Thanks for the tip, I might go with xReq's advice. May as well get into 37 and see what it's about, even if I hot dogged 29 a bit. I can always come back to it, and of course I'm going to be making gains pretty much no matter what I do... as long as I'm workin hard. Thanks for checkin out my log, welcome brah!

Haha, yeah it's up and down. Summers are hot and humid here so I'm sweating my ass off 24/7, have to drink double the water I should normally be drinking... and I never drank enough to begin with. Blows.

Thanks for the encouragement on Deads, it really is good to feel some weight on the bar again and to be able to pull it with confidence. 370 feels so far away from my 435 max, but I guess doing 3 doubles of it isn't too bad. I'm sure I'll keep progressing as I go along on this Russian bull crap.
It's good to hear from all of you, thanks for sticking with me even though I haven't had much to offer this thread, or your own workout logs either. I appreciate the support and I'll get back to you all as soon as I can. Been having a hard time with some stuff lately, but it'll all get figured out eventually. Keep eating.

Kinda. This past 4 weeks really took the fun out of lifting. I haven't been able to eat enough to keep up with the training. My squat feels like I've regressed on my form and gained no strength at all, my bench feels like it has exploded, and I've gained deadlift form, but I don't think I've gained any strength. Pretty tired, tied of being sore every day and not being able to eat enough to recover for the next lift, even though I just skipped Friday. Not sure where to go from here, maybe the body is calling for some time off. My knee has ached during and after squats for a couple weeks now. I think sheiko is too much overload for my current life situation. Pretty discouraged right now. Half way through my workout and I just have no motivation. Did 2 sets of 330 squat instead of 6, just not feeling like doing anything today. Everything feels the heaviest it's been. Blows.

Did you ease into Sheiko the way it's recommended? I agree with the others that perhaps you could take a week or two off from the gym. Eat whatever you want and enjoy, and then re-attempt Sheiko. You'll have tons more motivation when you finally get back to it.

Been awesome. Not sleeping much but she is worth it. Also, not the best time to start Sheiko meet prep but I am giving it a go. July 20th is show time.
