Results are seemingly disappointing so far

Alright so I cut down quite a bit a while ago

    I legit started around 230lbs

    Now today im 5'11/6'0 182

Yet I really notice very very little of a difference at all

I have some pics that I posted here in the estimate bf% (think first one i was aprox 210~ next one I was aprox 195~) and then im gonna post the ones I took today.

I feel like the difference from 210~ to now (183~) and I kinda expected more

Obviously I realize its not a quick fix, and I have to lose at LEAST another 20 pounds (the thought of weighing 160~ at roughly 6'0 doesnt exactly appeal to me) but clearly I have the fat so it needs to be done.

So any opinions are much appreciated

    210~

you're on the right track! I think you have about 30 more to lose if you want to be cut in the teens, BF-wise.

    Are you lifting?

There's a huge difference from 210 to the 180's. You just need some muscles to show once you get down to 160 something

The best analogy I've heard is that fat loss is like a paper towel roll. When you first start taking paper towels off the roll, you don't really notice much. But as you take more and more off, each paper towel makes the paper towel roll look increasingly thinner. The same goes with your body. The visual difference in 210 and 185 isn't going to be huge. I can definitely tell a big difference in your photos, but you still have a lot of body fat and not a ton of muscle mass. The next 15 pounds are going to be a much more drastic change visually, and as you get leaner, that effect will increase. Just hang in there and keep doing what you're doing. Fat loss takes patience and consistency.
Given enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is the true warrior who can master both, and surpass the result.

There's a difference for sure....a very noticeable difference, IMO.

You should be keeping measurements as well because often that will tell you more than weight.

If you are not lifting you should be, that can make a huge difference in how you look.

The other thing to keep in mind is that some people lose visceral fat in a higher proportion earlier than others. Given that visceral fat is inside the abdominal cavity, around your organs, it's not as noticable.

I do lift, but I guess I gotta step it up a bit more. I thought my numbers were "ok" for my size, at least for someone who isnt a hardcore lifter (ie able to bench significantly more than my body weight). But def what i needed to hear, im confident I got the diet part down, now I just got to significantly improve my lifting.

And yeah my internal number was another 25 pounds (putting me @ 158~) so 30 pounds is pretty much what I figured I had to do .

Guess im hoping to be below 175 by the end of the year, and 160 before april?

Weird thing is this is all unknown territory for me. Lowest I remember being in the last 10 ~ years is probably like high 180s, so every day is the lowest ive been since like 9th or 10th grade

Also anyone wanna ballpark current bf% ?

Over/under 20% ? (If its in the teens id figure it would be like 18/19% at the absolute lowest, but I im not sure im quite there)

get down to no less than 155 and then start bulking slowly and for a good while, you just lack a good base of muscle. lifting heavy WHILE you're cutting weigh WILL help you fill out a tad during the process, but a legit bulk is what you need to get the impressive physique, all the transformations you see on tv informercials with guys going from fat to shredded with nice chest/delts/abs, they already had a base of muscle. it's very rare that you'll see infomercials give skinny-fat people's transformations, b/c let's be honest, in 30-90 days, you're not going from skinny fat to ripped freak.

in a year you will be looking much much better. in two years, you will walk circles around your old physique. give it 5-10 and you will not even recognize yourself.
