contrary to popular belief, you dont need 500$ hunting boots, scent lock, full camo/ gillie suit, a 10,000 rifle, etc. More animals have died from men wearing wrangler jeans and flannel shirts than all these guys with the latest and greatest ****. Get your self a decent rifle (a 30-30 with iron sights comes to mind) and walk quietly through the woods and keep you eyes and hears open and your mouth shut and if you are in an area with deer, you will find them. For less than 500$ (including tags and ammo) you can get your self a deer. Of course, after the initial investment (a gun) you only need to buy fuel (to get to where the deer are) and license/ tags

Yep we hunted public land, he was pretty damn big. My friend who I hunt with tagged a real monster a few years ago, dragging him off the mountain is probably the most painful experience I'll ever have. Also saw a monster myself for the first time in person this season, he walked right up behind me and like a dumbass I didn't even notice until I shifted in my spot and scared him off.
Do I even lift?

This. you can buy a cheap ground blind (basically a tent) or you can build a box stand if you have the money and you dont have to wear camo. I have been deer hunting for 4 years with a lot of success and 95% of the time I wear normal clothes. Deer really arent the smartest animals. Also like he said the initial investment is what seems expensive. after that you are good to go

not the smartest animals but they have excellent hearing. There is a saying "the deer will hear it, the bear will smell it and the hawk will see it". The number one rule for deer hunting is be fcuking quiet. I cant tell you how many deer I have spooked because I was walking to fast/ loud or my friends were walking loud or trying to talk to me..

yea you are right. I make a conscious effort to be as quiet as possible on my way into the stand especially in the early morning. I was so quiet the other day I got in my box stand, sat down in my chair, and looked up to see 4 deer already in the field about 100 yards away
passed on this buck last weekend. gotta let him grow

Here is some of the meat i chopped up today. Basically, what you see in the fridge in the last pic, is just the hindquarter and loins. The rest i of it i chunked up to grind/mix with pork at a later date to make sausage/jerky. I'll show more pics of that when we do it...but ya, to all you *******s who get off neggin me for killing/processing and eating my OWN food...notasinglefukwasgiven.jpg.
This is a Pic of the outer loins that run down it's spine..
this is a pic of me taking the sinew off the outside of the meat. the better you clean that and the fat off the less 'gamey' it tastes.
this is the inner loin which is significantly smaller but it's SOOOOOO tender..melts in your mouth.
More loin..cut n cleaned and ready to fry in butter/onions/garlic/jalepenos
This is what i got just off the hindquarter So far..filled bottom rack and a little of the top with gallon bags.

nice one.
a few days ago i shot my first deer too... it's an amazing feeling.
EDIT:
I skinned it and didnt gut it, and boned it right there... carried out 15kg's of pure meat.
I chunked up the front legs/neck for stewing, and the back legs, backstrap, tenderloins i cut into steak sized portions in 1lb bags.
good job bud.. phuk these Beta gatherers negging you.
I had a sloot call me a w@nker for posting my pic on FB... shows how pathetic people are they dont even understand were their own food comes from.

I can tell your deer died a quick and relatively painless death before descending upon deer heaven, cos the meat has substantial blood in it.
Makes me feel all happy and hungry.
Some people though, they wont aim for a quick death because they want it bled out.
I'm not sure what they're using or what their technique is (referring to cutting the throat of downed animals), but the animal can really suffer under those circumstances.

A true hunter never wants to see the animal suffer. I know i don't. Never heard of anyone (at least that i know) that intentionally shoots it bad to 'bleed it out'. Now if you talk store bought meat that is butchered...then yes, they bleed the animal out. Some *******s negged me saying i should buy my meat in the store...LOL. Only when i'm outta meat that i haven't killed myself. fkn idiots
