I don't get it.... if pornography is legal and gay marriage legal, why wouldn't this controversial sex issue be legal? It used to be a vagrancy crime, and now it's a public crime or something, basically "disrupts" society.
Just think....All of those smoking hot but dumbass women would have lucrative careers and wouldn't have to suck my tax dollars via welfare. Is it legal in other countries? Surely it's legal in Australia - I don't even google....
This guy proves that prostitution would solve rape:

Man, didn't you just get married and you are already thinking about prostitution?
It's bad for society. If it is legal it become socially acceptable and nothing breaks up families faster than people cheating on each other. Sex is good but it is even better when it is within the confines of a marriage. It can help a relationship grow, lead to children and a stable family life. It would be one more excuse for people to act irresponsibly. It's good to want to save money but the costs to society would likely be greater if it was legalized, in the long run. Just speculation on my part.

I'm sure you're right. And I'm sure they lay in bed and smoke a doob afterwards too, lol.
My town just voted down video gambling which had it passed would have led to more and had been great for our economy. Unfortunately the people didn't get a say only the city council voted. Luckily, we can go 10 min across the missippi into STL where there's plenty of casinos.

I think the government feels they should still protect idiots that are too dumb to think about STDs. Kind of like the rampant spread of AIDS in Africa right now.
As far as the government benefiting from it, the prostitutes could claim to be self employed just like thousands of other Americans, that have to fill out a 10-99 each year instead of a W-2. Of course, there is no way to track the cash transactions, but that is no different really. There is no spoon.

We still have laws, and rationales for upholding laws, that are based on Puritan or Victorian moral values which revolve around the public control of sexuality, primarily women's.
Hums the theme to Superman during planks and LYTPs. Now that you've read this, you will too.
All right boys, now watch how this is done. The key is to put it all in your groin and your back.
Take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.

Not to be the token liberal, but the bigger question is how are you comparing gay marriage and prostitution? One is two consenting adults trying to wed and the other is someone trying to pay for sex.. How is it the same thing?

lol at this comment, it is not the bigger question- I was not comparing the two....they're only similar in that they're controversial sex related topics - I can't believe this is something you're harping on when it is not even remotely related to the point of the topic. Who gives a **** about this ^ - we're talking about legalizing prostitution.

I can relate to LIME's point...that would be a terrible realization to come to....spend 10 years in school to become a professional at something and some genetically gifted slut makes twice what you do just by spreading her legs.Last edited by MarkVI; 11-02-2012 at 04:03 PM.
