I've been squatting high weight, low reps regularly for many months now. Can I skip the introductory microcycle on Smolov?
More important question: should I even be doing Smolov? I'm 6'2", 180 lbs (chicken legs), with a 1RM of 225. I enjoy squatting more than anything else, so I really want to do this program. I will be eating a truckload of food every day and getting good rest. I wouldn't say I'm a beginner squatter... just a weak one. What do yall recommend? Should I do it?

IMO smolov is reserved for those who have achieved 1.5-2x BW squat (in your case, 2x) and have stalled.
Plenty of programs out there that would be better suited for you.RAW ELITE OR DIE

How often are you squatting now?
You shuld still get decent results out of smolov but like everyone said there are easier ways for you to progress. Try it out and see if you like the squatting frequency then id jump into stronglifts after you have a new 1RM so that you keep up the frequency or you might lose what you gained from smolov

As others have said, smolov is not quite what you need right now. SS probably the best routine (fast progressive overload)
About the microcycle, Most people skip it. I think as long as you are used to high frequency squatting there is no need for it."Do not subordinate fundamental principles to minor details."

You can do whatever you want to do. Is it a good idea for you to run Smolov? No. Is it stupid? Probably. Could it work? You never know until you try. The intro cycle is not going to make it any more or less stupid. Have you ever heard the story of Icarus? He continually rolled the ball up the hill. When he got too close the ball melted in the heat of the sun. You sir, are just like Icarus.
