Am I doing something wrong? Input appreciated

So, Im fairly new to really tracking my calories. I went a little overboard on a cut and now Im slowly upping my calories until I get to a very lean bulk. Right now Im at about 2300 cals/day...not seeing any gain, so Im upping about 100 cals a week until I hit my sweet spot.

Anyway, I always eat pretty light for breakfast, lunch varies in size, and a pretty big dinner (workout right before dinner time). But it always seems like I have room for snack foods even while hitting my macros.

For example, for some reason my lunch and dinner were smaller than usual today - Simply because I was in a rush and threw some stuff together. I looked at my cals and had enough room for (way too much) candy left over from trick-or-treaters, some pretzels and a big chocolate chip cookie (all together, it was probably like 600 cals of snack food).

I normally cant fit THAT much in, but it seems like I always have room for a decent amount of sweets/snacks, etc. Just makes me wonder since it seems like everyone on here complains about trying to fit a cookie into their diet, etc. Someone tell me Im not crazy

Considering you can hit your protein and fat minimums with just under 1400 calories, it's not really surprising you can fit what you deem as a lot of snack food into your diet regularly. Even if you stuck to traditional "clean" foods to hit your protein and fat numbers for the day, at your current intake of 2300cals, you'd still have almost 1000cals a day left over to fill with whatever you wanted. So it's not crazy at all. Enjoy the sweet freedom of flexible dieting and being in a surplus :P
