My dad had garden hoses running down his arm at 25-30% body fat. I'm nowhere near that level, I'd say I'm average, it's just that my hands get like that. I'm not sure if my arms will, only time will tell.

This is taking place in Oh, where I live, so I've heard about it for quite a while. The end of this sentence really buttons up my frustration with people who are over-weight. No personal responsibility taken. Drives me batty.

What they fail to understand is that a large part of it is how we are wired, not just societal. Short of MAYBE doing twenty in the state hoosegow, I can't fathom that ever looking good to me.

I do think that societal ideals can be unrealistic and not healthy (hence that 30 yr old chick in the regular section wanting to look like Miley Cyrus and getting an ED), but it would be equally unhealthy or moreso IMO if it shifted the other way towards (obese) fat acceptance.
