    Nothing special. I was aggressive (1,000 below TDEE), but I was basically doing IIFYM and didn't know that's what it was called for a while. Lifted 3x weekly doing SL 5x5 for most of it. Basically no cardio b/c of the large deficit.

    I also took a splurge/cheat/binge day once a month and gave myself 3500 calories plus whatever I was cutting at.

    I've never felt more energy from eating a surplus. I haven't ate 3,500 before, but I have done 2,700-2,800 etc and felt no different, sometimes even lethargic the next day.

    Does that not depend on what the surplus consists of though? If it's largely carbs, I often feel lethargic. I had a heaping bowl of pasta for dinner tonight and it put me in a pasta coma. Fats and proteins and I can't sit still.
    Currently cutting.
