    I love Craigslist

So as of yesterday my home gym is complete, I just purchased a pair of powerblock dumbells adjustable from 5lbs to 130lbs and stand for $100.00. I also purchased a powertec wbls with 250lbs of Olympic weights for $400. The only thing I bought brand new was a Precor EFX on close out 999.99 at Dicks. I don't believe I need anything else to get the new year started and to get my goals achieved.

Just a word of advise, look on craigslist if your interested in starting a home gym. You will not believe the savings and majority of the equipment is like new. Happy New Years and good luck to everyone looking to change themselves for the better.

What a fantastic way of getting some photos on the board...

I agree, the OP has got some fantastic deals, he should share the photo love.

It's also nice to see how various people have their gyms.

I find it absolutely amazing that no one else on this board ever thought of this before.

Good job op. You have learned all of us. We are forever in your debt.

That is funny, but some people don't think to use it. My neighbor was going to buy a brand new Bowflex for 1200.00 I found the same one on CL for 300.00. I saved him a lot money. Come to think of it I should have charged a finders fee.

$100 for those Powerblocks might be the deal of the century. Why did you go with the powertec home gym instead of a power rack?

I thought it was a fake posting at first on the powerblocks and it turned out to be real. Either he didn't know what he had or they weren't his. I'm gonna error on the side he had no idea what he had.
I went with the home gym, because both my wife and I can benefit from it. Plus for the 2 months I was looking I didn't see any on CL. When building a home gym on a budget it's kind of hard to be too picky. As of right now it's a great machine and I don't see myself out growing anytime soon. Maybe there is a power rack in my future down the road. Oh yeah space was a big part too.
