A friend of mine is freakin' HUGE. Doesn't know how to fight , wears thick glasses, strong as hell, and is one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. It NEVER failed when we were younger, that we'd be in a brawl within minutes at any bar because some drunk tough-guy thought he could knock his glasses off and look like a big man by "Taking out the Giant." I'd automatically "scout out" the place & the players and have a plan as soon as the **** hit the fan. Never lost any of those. we also did UFC-style fighting back in the late 70's/early 80's. We were a bunch of rough kids that all wrestled and boxed a bit. started dabbling in martial atrs, so we thought, "Why not combine all of it?" We were doing 5 five minute rounds back then. Anything went except for balls, punches to the throat or eye pokes. Great fun and boy, did it prep you for ANYTHING. Guys would come from other towns, and if 15 -20 showed up to fight, only about 3-4 would as they thought we were nuts. I was about 150 lbs taking on guys who were "muscled up" at @ 200 -215 and beating thier asses. Skill, toughness and heart are all huge, but conditioning is really key. Like the saying goes, "Fatigue makes cowards of us all." Once I set the pace, survived anything they might have if they were skilled at all, I'd tear them apart cause they had no cardio. As soon as the UFC blew up, I had all of them call me and say, "Man. you were born way too early."

All I will do is bleed to death on someone now....I used to wrestle at 125-35 in HS. I beat every single guy on our team that was 189+ which was the heaviest class. They are so slow and it is hard to over power a strong grip and no matter how big you are...you go where your head goes.
