our paleo ancestors lived off mainly meat. there bodies used FAT as energy. this is why we have the highest level of tastebuds for fat. If you give a naked muscle cell either ketone (fat thats gone thru the liver to be ketone) or glycouse the muscle cell well perfer to use the ketone each time
the frist 2 weeks were horrific my streght fell down to 40% the original after my body became carb depleted. my head felt so funny it was like a werid high. I knew the probelm was that my body did not have the enzymes to use fat as energy liek it did as carbs. on the third week my body was in full swing my streght jumped back higher then what it once was i'm constanly shreded looking an making crazy gains. I eat cheese beef oil veggies all day an its great. this is how humans were designed for an it was the best choice i ever made, i do not even miss the taste of carbs i try bread once in a while an it taste horrific to me now. i feel so happy all the time an more alpha
brb if i need energy i just lose more fat instead of using carbs as energy brb ripped
brb always ripped looking
brb bulking is easy
brb when you eat carbs you release insulin taking the fatty acid from your blood thus your brain thinks you need to eat thats why you get hungary again in 20 mins, is that not obvious evolutionary flaw?

Science supporting that keto decreases sleep quality or makes you die earlier?
Science supporting its bad for athletics after one is fat adapted?
Apparently fat does not equal energy
*Please do not call me paleo or a crossfitter, I think both of those things are retarded. I just think that carbs must be used properly.771/645/622 Single Ply

So is fat. I'm not going to argue nutrition 101 with a stranger.
Everyone ITT knee-jerk reacting to low-carb should google "metabolic typing test" and make sure they should be eating the stuff in the first place. There is no be-all end-all diet for every person. Everyone accepts ecto/endo/meso = different body types, but pretends that different diets don't best accentuate different body types. Derp.

You seriously think you can recover on fats? Name one athlete that does Paleo. Carbs are protein sparing among other things.
Also it is common wisdom that excessive protein ages the body and does damage, something that is impossible to avoid doing paleo.
You would also be missing some serious micronutrients from doing Paleo.
And to top it off, the body only creates about 50% of enzymes to act as catalysts from cooked foods. The other 50% needs to come from raw foods in which the enzymes did not get destroyed by the heating process. Say goodbye to your pancreas.
Here about the protein part.

Protein oxidation associated with aging is reduced by dietary restriction of protein or calories
The accumulation of unrepaired oxidative damage products may be a major factor in cellular aging. Both oxidative lesions in DNA and oxidatively damaged proteins have been shown to accumulate during aging. The accumulation of oxidized proteins in Fischer 344 rats was compared for animals consuming protein-restricted and calorically restricted diets–both of which have been shown to extend lifespan. Rats were fed diets restricted in either protein (5% or 10% of the diet as compared with the normal 20% casein), or calories (25% or 40% less than normal), or total diet (40% less than normal). In addition, some of the rats fed a diet providing 5% or 20% protein were irradiated twice weekly (125 rads per exposure; 1 rad = 0.01 Gy). The level of oxidative damage to proteins (protein carbonyls) was determined in rats sacrificed at various times. The oxidative damage to proteins increased with aging and with radiation. Either protein or calorie restriction markedly inhibited the accumulation of oxidatively damaged proteins. Protein restriction reduced the accumulation of oxidatively damaged proteins during the oxidative stress of chronic irradiation.Last edited by biscuitsbrah; 11-06-2012 at 10:24 AM.
