Hey everyone I got hooked up again by muscletech jake and team muscletech so Im ready to just blast away at the weights with this stuff. The formula is amazing on this, 40 grams of protein, added bcaas, creatine, slow digesting carb blend, and some other extra goodies it really is an all in one recovery blend. Keeping my fingers crossed but I think I may have found my future postworkout shake for a long time to come.
my typical meal and diet are as follows:
diet is low in carbs as I am trying to get absolutely shredded, high protein, moderate amount of fats. I will mix in a high carb day here n there to boost metab and give myself some sanity. My goal is to get well below 10% bodyfat.
Training is typically two days on one day off with either cardio or complete rest on off days which i will communicate with everyone in here what i have down. Cardio is typically HIIT involving any sort of intensity measures including plyometrics and box jumps. I have always tended to train with heavier compound movements at the beginning of my sessions even work up to single reps and then mixing in high volume and reps towards the end.
This log will be a little more complicated then the typical as I am traveling next week for business but will be taking halo with me of course and will find a gym to train at.
lets have some fun in this log and lets get realllllllllllllllllllllllllllll physical with it (workaholics)

60 grams of egg whites in the morning
lunch is two 8-10 oz chicken breasts equaling roughly 100 grams of protein plus broccoli roughly 10 grams of carbs
2 scoops of dymatize protein 40 grams of protein plus 2 or 3 TBSP of olive oil
preworkout plus bcaas
anabolic halo 40 grams protein 40 grams of carbs
chicken breast with 1 scoop of dymatize protein with 2-3 scoops of olive oil
totals: 340 grams of protein, under 100 grams of carbs (50 in the above mealplan sometimes i will add in brown rice preworkout), and roughly 100 grams of fat
shooting for rougly 50/20/30 but we ll see how it goes

haha hey now i have a high carb day mixed in there!!! once or twice a week
hell yeah
so i did get one workout in on thurs , it was legs
calves: 5 or 6 sets on the leg press machine with 4 plates each side
squat: 275X 3 sets x 10 reps
box squats with pause on the bottom explosive movement on the way up: 185 x 5 sets x 10 reps
knee extensions
ham curls
mixed 2 scoops of anabolic halo postworkout
mixability : 10/10 no problems in a shaker
taste 9/10 if anyone has tried any other muscletech chocolate products they know they are tasty!!!!
recovery: i thought id be wayyyyyyy more sore than I am tenative rating: 10/10
how i feel , refreshed

chocolate is always a solid choice,
muscletech is where its at nowadays all their products are evidenced based, its nice to see the industry moving towards more of a combination of protein instead of just whey since thats the way the evidence is pointing towards
the oat and carb blend is also refreshing with the obesity rate nowadays skyrocketing its nice to sort of move away from sharp insulin spikes like dextrose (although i still will use dextrose for postworkout during bulks) besides whey protein will spike insulin regardless

Heres whats up
had a riidic crazy week but am so thankful to have haloo by myside to help me reach my goals
it made traveling so much easier by replacing like 5 jugs with 1
and also helped me get a good clean postworkout recovery drink
This week in general: training was good, intense...nutrition could have been better but so it is what it is with traveling,,,,this week its time to get back on track
One thing i noticed was even with my nutrition being what it was this week i still felt improved recovery and less soreness roughly 24 to 48hours after lifting
I hit chest arms and legs some highlights were
: incline db press 95s for 8 or 10
box squat 275x8
Overall my ratings so far
taste:10 really cant get a bette chocolate esp with water
Mixability:10 no clumps just a few shakes in a shaker
rrecovery: so far id rate this a 9 we ll see how it goes as training gets heavier and cardio increases
I shud be getting some transformation pics up at the end of this week for comparision, hoping to cut some more fat this week and progress towards my 12 week goals

alrighty so I hit chest:
highlights of the workout were worked up to a 3 rep goal of 275x3, weighing in right now at 179lbs, and 10.7 % bodyfat
need to start cranking up the cardio but also amping up the calories a little bit
workout consisted of bench press followed up incline smith press, flat dumbell fly, abs and calves
switching my workout split to focus on areas of weakness mainly arms, calves, and legs in general
it will look like this

back
legs
arms
shoulders
off
repeat

compared to here starting point, 183 11.8%
now 179, 10.7%
obviously im aware one is relaxed and one isnt
as far as halo goes i feel like this will be a staple for me postworkout, its easy, it has everything you need, and it tastes great
