    Thanks Dean, as you know the mental part of this is the hardest. I feel like I've been at this for forever (which isn't true) and that I'll never get to where I want to be, which also isn't true. I think my back does feel a little bit better so far this week but I won't evaluate it until Sunday.

    Weight: 225.8 -2.6 new low

    I have seen 225.0 on the scale but that was after sleeping in for 6 hours more than normal so I'm not counting that. I'm glad to see things going in the right direction again a dam really looking forward to my dexa scan on Saturday. I never mentioned that we dropped another 100 cals and that will be the last drop we do. We're gonna ride out any weight loss I can get on this and then slowly start reversing to rehab my metabolism, hopefully without any weight gain. Glad to be moving on to phase 2 of my plan. Depending on how well I can recomp, this may be the last time I cut before a real contest prep, but more than likely there will be one more cutting phase before then.

    Well, first off I had one of the best weekends that I've had in a long long time. My best friend got married and me and my wife had an awesome time at the wedding and reception. Had just enough to drink to have fun out on the dance floor but not lose my dinner. I didn't look like a whale in my suit so that was a big plus, and I got a lot of compliments from people who haven't seen me in a long time which is always nice.
    Upon waking on Saturday morning, I instant regretted making my dexa scan appointment that day. I wasn't hungover, I just really would have liked to not have to drive two hours into Chicago, not to mention I was super bloated. I made the drive down anyway and met my brother there, he was getting a scan too since I had earned a free scan and was able to bring someone else to get a free scan since I had lost more than 5% bf between my last two scans. So here are the results.

    Weight: 234
    Bf%: 23%
    Lean mass: 179
    Fat mass: 55

    Last scan on December 19th was

    Weight: 258
    Bf%: 35%
    Lean mass: 168
    Fat mass: 90

    So needless to say I'm quite happy with that. Still have a year to gain some quality lbm and I'm hoping I can get it to 190+. I'd really like to get the bf% into the low teens before my real prep as well. Either way I still have a long ways to go. Next scan will be in early September.

    Thanks dean, I'm really looking forward to putting this injury behind me and finally move forward to put on some quality mass. Right now I gotta work on undoing the damage I did this weekend. I feel so bloated and gross right now, probably set myself back two weeks but that's ok, I had a great time and do t regret it one bit. Sometimes you just gotta let go and have fun. I'm taking this week off of lifting again, my back has gotten better since taking off last week, so as much as I hate not to lift, it's necessary to get back on track. Still going to do IF this week with my lower cals and do my cardio.

    Hey everyone, I'm still alive. Second shift has been a real struggle. I've been off of lifting for almost five weeks now and I'm still in pain 100% of the day. Haven't done cardio in weeks and have been eating way to much. I need to get back on track but I've been very unmotivated due to my back. Not much else to say.

    Ditto - I know injuries can be very depressing and they are a major reason why people not only give up on what they can do but say "screw it" and just go nuts with the food.
