mmmmm that looks great
Lets be honest, your going through a hard time with yourself because of your injury and it has been a while and its not getting better which sucks and i bet is killing you but you need to be safe and not being any damage
Coming off your macros for a day, isn't going to do lots but it will if you let it stick with you mentally which you dont need
Forget and hit them tomorrow
Everyone says it and i bet your fed up but keep that head high

Thanks Dean, as you know the mental part of this is the hardest. I feel like I've been at this for forever (which isn't true) and that I'll never get to where I want to be, which also isn't true. I think my back does feel a little bit better so far this week but I won't evaluate it until Sunday.
Weight: 225.8 -2.6 new low
I have seen 225.0 on the scale but that was after sleeping in for 6 hours more than normal so I'm not counting that. I'm glad to see things going in the right direction again a dam really looking forward to my dexa scan on Saturday. I never mentioned that we dropped another 100 cals and that will be the last drop we do. We're gonna ride out any weight loss I can get on this and then slowly start reversing to rehab my metabolism, hopefully without any weight gain. Glad to be moving on to phase 2 of my plan. Depending on how well I can recomp, this may be the last time I cut before a real contest prep, but more than likely there will be one more cutting phase before then.TEAM DEMON

Well, first off I had one of the best weekends that I've had in a long long time. My best friend got married and me and my wife had an awesome time at the wedding and reception. Had just enough to drink to have fun out on the dance floor but not lose my dinner. I didn't look like a whale in my suit so that was a big plus, and I got a lot of compliments from people who haven't seen me in a long time which is always nice.
Upon waking on Saturday morning, I instant regretted making my dexa scan appointment that day. I wasn't hungover, I just really would have liked to not have to drive two hours into Chicago, not to mention I was super bloated. I made the drive down anyway and met my brother there, he was getting a scan too since I had earned a free scan and was able to bring someone else to get a free scan since I had lost more than 5% bf between my last two scans. So here are the results.
Weight: 234
Bf%: 23%
Lean mass: 179
Fat mass: 55
Last scan on December 19th was
Weight: 258
Bf%: 35%
Lean mass: 168
Fat mass: 90
So needless to say I'm quite happy with that. Still have a year to gain some quality lbm and I'm hoping I can get it to 190+. I'd really like to get the bf% into the low teens before my real prep as well. Either way I still have a long ways to go. Next scan will be in early September.TEAM DEMON

Thanks dean, I'm really looking forward to putting this injury behind me and finally move forward to put on some quality mass. Right now I gotta work on undoing the damage I did this weekend. I feel so bloated and gross right now, probably set myself back two weeks but that's ok, I had a great time and do t regret it one bit. Sometimes you just gotta let go and have fun. I'm taking this week off of lifting again, my back has gotten better since taking off last week, so as much as I hate not to lift, it's necessary to get back on track. Still going to do IF this week with my lower cals and do my cardio.

Hey everyone, I'm still alive. Second shift has been a real struggle. I've been off of lifting for almost five weeks now and I'm still in pain 100% of the day. Haven't done cardio in weeks and have been eating way to much. I need to get back on track but I've been very unmotivated due to my back. Not much else to say.

Ditto - I know injuries can be very depressing and they are a major reason why people not only give up on what they can do but say "screw it" and just go nuts with the food. Stay positive, lean on us for support. You have my cell number so don't hesitate to call or text. Focus on pain management and the little that you can do.

Quick update, I jumped back on my cut and will report back more next week after I drop the initial water weight I'm holding and have a better grasp on how much damage I've done. Probably set myself back a good 2 months, things got out of control and I'm pretty disappointed in myself. Going to push some light weight this week to see how I react. My back is still only about 70% but its been that way for a few weeks now. I was feeling so good about where I was and I just threw it all out the window.

Well done for jumping back on the cut
What damage is done is done, i wouldnt even call it damage, the length you have been cutting and how you was so happy then training had to stop because of a injury
I am sure your still in a happier and look better then 130lbs ago

I'm alive and recommitting myself. It's amazing how much weight one can gain when binging for 4 months straight. I'm very ashamed and don't like seeing people who saw me at my lowest. If I can get up the courage I may post a pic but I weigh quite a bit more than I did before I started with Stan last November. My back is still only about 70% and I may be going in for an MRI soon. Lifting will be light, not just because of my back but because I haven't lifted anything for months and am weak once again. I'm back on first shift and am getting back to my routine which I desperately need. Cals will be around 2500 for the first two weeks and I'll see how things are going after that. I know most of you will say to start higher, but that is where I'm comfortable right now. Again, I'll look at it more after the first two weeks are under my belt. Thanks to anyone who still cares.

Well Mondays workout went as good as can be expected after a 4 month layoff. Eating has been good. My parents actually called us up on Monday to take us all to the local pizza buffet restaurant and I turned it down. So I'm hoping I'm in a good mental state for another go around. Hoping to get back to where I was by Christmas and in order to do that I'm going to have to be dedicated the way I was before.

Dean, I won't be using a coach this time around although Stan has said he would help me if I had any questions. I'm basically going to be following what we did for the 6 months I was with him. The money just isn't there right now. We are looking at possibly adopting a child from china and all our extra money will be going for that.TEAM DEMON

All of us are here if you need help.
You don't need money to get or keep things moving. You only need motivation and the dedication to stick with it.
And as for that last sentence...THAT impressed me more than any workout I've ever seen on this forum. That's heart and kindness like no other.
Great to see you back"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Best of luck with the adoption process - I have family members who have adopted kids from India and it's a very time consuming and costly process, but quite fulfilling as well from what I understand.
I have confidence you will be able to take what you learned from your success last go around and apply it again. Like Chris said, we got your back if you are having a rough day or feel like throwing in the towel. Happy that you decided to get back in the game.
