Don't worry about me not having a good time, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy myself and I'm still going to hit the gym. It's just going to be interesting how I react to all the food and alcohol. I don't really drink except for a few company functions throughout the year where it's free, but they have so many good fruity drinks there that are so calorie laden. That's gonna be the issue. Anyway on to yesterday's training.
Got to workout the "bro" muscles yesterday and I loved the pump!
10 min treadmill warmup 200 cal burn
Seated db curls
30x10
30x10
30x10
Superset with
Lying db extensions
15x10
15x10
15x10
Typical triceps workout. At first the 15's were light as a feather, and by the last set my arms were shaking lol.
Ez bar curls
65x10
65x10
65x10
Superset with
Rope triceps extention
50x12
40x12
40x12
Realized after the first set that I was never going to make 50 for all 3 sets
Skull crushers
35x12
35x10
35x8
Wide grip barbell curl- by the time I got to these I was toast
40x12
50x10
50x8
I had planned to use 60 for the last set but it wasn't gonna happen
30 min treadmill 15 incline 4-4.5 speed 660 cal
Great workout, like most, I love working arms, the pump is addictive. I'm looking forward to adding a pre workout sup after I get back from my trip to make the pump even greater. I really think it will help my intensity in the gym since I work a 12 hour shift everyday before I workout. Diet has been spot on this week with everything being the same everyday. 2453 cals. Pretty sure we are upping them next week but we'll see what Stan has in store for me.

Just finished my workout for today and this week has been brutal so far. I'm sore all over and I still have my back to do tomorrow. I'm not complaining as I love the feeling, makes me know that I worked hard, but I didn't really realize how it was affecting my strength until today. Shoulders were brutal today, most weights that I picked and thought were conservative were too heavy. Live and learn right?
Overhead barbell press
80x10
80x6
60x10
Superset with side db lateral raises
10x10
10x10
10x10
Barbell shrugs
60x10
60x10
60x10
Superset with rear lateral raises
10x10
10x10
10x10
Front db raises
10x10
10x10
15x10
Barbell upright row
60x10
60x10
60x10
I could have gone heavier on the shrugs but I really tried to focus on the movement and really squeeze at the top. Overall it was a good session but I didn't realize hoe trashed my shoulders already were. I actually have a Saturday off tomorrow so I will be working out while fresh in the morning so I'm gonna have a good morning.TEAM DEMON

Weight:250.2
Happy with the weigh in although 249 would have been nicer Overall I'm really happy with how my body is responding to Stan's program. I can't wait til I adjust to the volume so I can start upping the weights, even though I'm not in a muscle building phase right now I should still be able to eek out some noob gains. Back workout today was hindered my soreness but I still gave it my all.
Wide grip lat pull down
100x10
100x10
100x10
Superset with db row
50x10
45x10
45x10
Barbell rows (felt really weak during these)
70x12
70x10
70x8
70x6
(I had planned to up the weight every set but barely made the reps so I just kept the weight the same)
Deadlift

155x10
165x8
175x6
Straight arm pull downs

Not much to report today, got up and did some fasted cardio on my stairmaster on level 5 intervals for 30 min. I always feel like I really accomplished something when I make it all the way through a program on there. I was sweating like crazy. In other news my arms are so sore I can barely straighten them. The worst doms I've had in a really long time. Hopefully I'll be able to power through my chest workout tomorrow. I probably won't get much sleep tonight because I'll be staying up to watch the Bears game. That's all for now, have a good Sunday!

Just a quick update to start the week. I got my updated plan from Stan this week and we are adding roughly 320 cal/day this week. Coming in the form of 1cup more oats and 1 oz more chicken. Cals and macros will be the same all week. 2767 283/218/98. My arms are still fried, having a hard time straightening them. I'm gonna work on massaging them at work today and hopefully they won't bother me too much during lifting. Today is chest and its more my biceps that hurt than my tri's, so I'm hoping it won't matter.

Well I must say working with Team Demon and this log is already doing its job. The way my arm felt today, if I hadn't of had this log and Stan to be accountable to, I probably would have skipped my workout today even thought since I was doing chest I wouldn't have had to. Legs are on tap tomorrow and then a rest day so my arm should be pretty well rested before they are really needed. I kept most weights the same this week since I am still pretty sore. I can't wait to get over this break in period and really start pushing myself.

Woke up this morning and my arms were still really tight, but now after a few hours at work they are feeling a whole lot better. I think getting the blood flowing through them yesterday at the gym really helped. Diet wise I'm realizing how hard it is to eat a whole cup of oats. Talk about filling!
Side note. Yesterday at my gym 4 guys were training together all doing the same exercise which was barbell curls, at the one and only squat rack in the gym. I was done with my entire workout before they were done with one exercise. I mean come on people. Glad I didn't need to use the rack. /rantTEAM DEMON

Weight:252.0 +1.8lb
Weigh in this morning was a little surprising. We did up my cals this week and the majority of it was carbs so here's hoping its just some extra water that I'm carrying around. If it is just water we should see a down tick on Saturday. For some reason I just really diet feel like going to the gym yesterday, but I did anyway and it turned out to be an ok session even though after my warmup there was another guy doing curls at the squat rack, and this time I needed it.
10 min treadmill warmup 200cal
Squat
140x12
160x10
170x8

Felt like I had more in the tank so I added a 3sec pause at the bottom of my last rep. Got nice and deep on all reps.

Stiff legged db dead lift

Aprox 30 min on elliptical ??? Cal burn
I remembered how much I hate the elliptical, the motion just feels weird to me, and my feet go numb. I was doing an interval program on it and was in the middle of it and wanted to reverse my direction to get some feeling back in my toes and didn't realize that this would shut the machine off. No idea how long I was on it or what my calorie burn was so I just started back up and did another 10 minutes. I was sweating like crazy though.TEAM DEMON

I too hate ellipticals. The motion just doesn't feel natural. I prefer the free-motion treadmills for a good walk.
And I wouldn't worry about that weight. You're still just gettin into the serious workouts. Gonna build some muscle, lose some fat...at different rates and times. You got this. Keep on it man!"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Ellipticals are very hit and miss for me. The one at my gym is decent but I've used others where the stride length was too short and made it very awkward to use. That being said, even the one at my gym after 20-30 minutes I start to lose feeling in my toes, probably from the angle at which my foot is compared to my ankle. It's retarded. So typically I will break my cardio up. If I'm doing more than 30 minutes, I will do 20 on the elliptical than 20 on the treadmill, something like that.
Sounds like there is at least some universal hatred of the elliptical machine

This sucks. Right now I'm sitting in the lunchroom at work way hint everyone chow down on thanksgiving food. Once a month my company has a luncheon where we get free lunch and the go over the financials and safety stuff. Normally when I'm cutting I just skip it, but this month happens to be the one time a year they go into the plans for the next year and they want everybody here. So here I am drinking my diet coke, and smelling some really good food. Fml
