Thanks Stan, I am pretty amazed that I'm continuing to get stronger throughout this, just makes me that much more excited for when I can focus on building. I had actually set a goal for myself to be able to do a pull up by end of march so I'm well ahead of the game on that front. Legs went good yesterday, kept the squat weights the same and the reps were much cleaner this week compared to last week. I'm probably going to keep it here for one more week before I move up again.
Squat
135x12
185x10
225x8
250x6
SLDL
225x8x3

Weight: 241.6 -1.0 (new low)
Always happy to hit a new low, hopefully i can keep it up. Didn't update the last few days, been busy with my daughters birthday weekend. We have parties Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so it's a busy weekend. I did a vlog but its still trying to upload to youtube and its taking forever. So that will be coming soon. Fridays workout was my normal shoulder day, pretty boring so I'll skip that and just post Saturdays workout. Saw an unofficial 239.6 this morning sleeping in an extra 5 hours. It's been 13 years since the last time I was in the 230's and my lowest ever is 235 so it's gonna be fun getting into uncharted territory. Only 3 1/2 days of work this week and then It's off to the Arnold!

Thanks for the kind words Dean. If John wants to eat some yummies, it's his choice. I will advise against it and offer healthier options. He has that wedding coming up remember, which is probably just as important if not more so than a contest because you will see ALL your friends and family and I'm sure he wants to show off just how far he's come!

Ya there will be no cheats, I'm not even really tempted anymore. Eventually I'll get to the point where a cheat meal every once in a while wont matter, but that time isn't now. All my food will be coming with me, it won't be on the same timing I'm sure, but nothing more than what's on my plan will be consumed. I'd still like to trim another 10lbs off I. The next 8 weeks and in order to do that I'm gonna need to be on point. Thanks for watching the video though, I appreciate it!

you have the 10 pounds in the bag. I cant watch the V-log at work, but i will when i get home. I like the dedication and how you say cheat meals dont even tempt you anymore. It takes a while but when you get to that point there is nothing left to slow you down.
I agree with Stan, seeing friends and family after a huge transformation will be much more rewarding then a contest. They all know what you looked like before and will notice just how far you have come. Its a great feeling man, it will be inspiring to alot of people im sure.

Sooooo not looking forward to double cardio tonight but you gotta do what ya gotta do. Found out at the dentist yesterday that I have to have my bridge replaced to the tune of $3600. Ouch, and that I get to have the majority of the work done the morning of my buddies bachelor party weekend. Fun times coming up for sure. Chest day today so I figure ill hit the gym and do my first cardio right away and then do my workout, then drive home and do my HIIT on the treadmill. Then promptly crall into bed and did lol. Forgot to mention that my brother was up this weekend and we were lifting a little bit. Anyway I benched 205 for 1 rep which is by far the most I have ever benched. Now if I can add 20 more pounds to that and 9 more reps ill feel like I'm getting somewhere lol.

Sorry to hear about the dentist bud, that is never fun. (the bill and the work being done)
205x1 is awesome on a cut though, especially to see your numbers keep crawling up as you keep shedding. Just think about when you start gaining... Youll be throwing up 250x10 in no time
Is your brother in to lifting at all?

He does the typical bro workouts (no pun intended), he's been going to the gym on and off for the last six years but only does best and bi's. I was trying to show him proper technique for squaring and dead lifting so he could start making some real gains. He really needs to pick a program cause he just goes to the gym and does whatever. His best bench is like 245, the only lift he can come close to me on. To show off a little I deadlifted 345 a couple times and squatted 225 for 10. Did OHP with 135x8 and then through in a couple bicep curls with the 135 at the end lol. It was a good time.

We talk plenty of smack!! His big problem is his diet, he has no clue what he's doing. I've told him several times but he has no will power. I can't blame him though, look at where I came from, I didn't have any will power back then either.

Sounds like me and my brothers! I'm a very competitive person and we actually held 3 or 4 powerlifting contests in my garage over Christmas time
As for the 225x10 bench - if that is what it takes to be considered decent, I guess I have a long way to go I thought 225x5 the other day was pretty grueling!

Man, awesome work.
Weight falling off.
Bar weight, going wayyy up. It's been great to watch your journey. So far to go, but you've come so far.
I'm hoping we get a chance to get it in this weekend with our boy Stan. Could be fun. I won't be curling the 135 though. You got me there lol."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Lol the 135 curls weren't exactly great form, I'll get there just not quite yet. We'll get in the gym together for sure, probably not doing the same thing but I'll get to watch some real intensity from you guys!
First cardio done, lifting done, second cardio on its way.
Edit: second cardio is in the books, time for bed. Leg day tomorrow, gotta rest up!Last edited by curjo; 02-26-2013 at 06:48 PM.

Weight: 240.8 -0.8 new low
It's always nice to see the numbers go down. Next weigh in will be in Columbus at the hotel and it will probay be artificially low. Normal weigh in time for me is 2:45 and I'm sure it will be much later on Saturday. Had to improvise my workout a little last night since I was at home and not in the gym, only thing I couldn't do was the machine chest press drop set, and I substituted my db inclines for bb incline. 30 minutes incline walking to start things off and then two 15 minutes sessions on the stairmaster, both on the interval setting, one at level 7 the other level 8.
Bb bench
155x10x3
SS with db fly
25'sx10x3
Incline bb bench
95x10
115x10x2
SS with incline fly
25'sx10x3

Well my workout is over. Last set of squats I wasn't smart my back wasn't feeling it, I went for it anyway and I definitely did something to it. Driving home right now in pain, ice ibuprofen and some stretching. And some prayer.

I'm gonna try to leave work early to get to the chiropractor, sitting in the car for 7 hours is going to be pure torture. Can't believe they this happened right before the trip, I've been looking forward to this for months, pretty down about it right now.
