Giant Sports Cookies and Creme Delicious Protein Log/Review

Today I tried the CnC that Giant Sports sent me to log. I would like to thank Peter and BK for the opportunity to try this product!

Initial thoughts: The profile seems pretty good, 27g of protein and 147 calories. I do wish it had a bit less sodium, as 160g seems a bit high. The powder has a good texture, and it doesn't clump very much so it is easy to scoop.

Taste/ texture: I mixed 1 scoop in my Blender Bottle with 10oz of milk. After a few shakes it was perfectly blended, I had absolutely no problems with clumping. The taste was amazing, it was very reminiscent of an Oreo milkshake! It had a nice thick texture (which I prefer), and was quite filling, especially for a single scoop. Overall, this is one the best tasting proteins that I have tried!

Today I tried mixing 1 scoop of protein in 8oz of water. I try to find protein powders that still taste good in water because that is what I use for my shakes most of the time. It was a little less thick than I prefer, but it was not as thin as some are. It obviously didn't taste as good as it does in milk, but it still had a very good flavor and maintained some creaminess. Over the next few days I will play around with the amount of liquid to dial in the perfect amount.

This afternoon I used water again for my shake, but this time I only used 7oz; I would have to say that this is pretty close to the perfect amount of water for 1 scoop. It was pretty thick and had a good richness that many proteins do not have when mixed with water, and of course it still tasted great. Still no problems with clumping, this is one of the best mixing protein powders that I have used!

Today I used my CnC again when I made my afternoon shake. I mixed 2 scoops in my Blender Bottle with 17oz of milk. I'm still amazed at how good this stuff tastes (especially in milk), I can't imagine how this could taste any more like Oreo ice cream or an Oreo milkshake. The texture was very thick, the way I like, and kind of frothy.

For todays Giant Sports CnC shake, I used 14oz of water and 2 scoops of protein. As I said above, this is one of the better tasting protein powders when mixed with water. It was somewhat thick, with a velvety/creamy texture; the taste, as I have said multiple times, is great!

Final thoughts: After my 5th day in a row using this protein powder, I can still say that I still enjoy drinking it. When mixed in milk, the taste and texture are great, and it is still really good when mixed in water! I think the profile could use some tweaking (sodium and cholesterol seem high), but aside from that I think this is a great product!

Thank you Giant Sports for the opportunity,
    R.E.B.
