    Opti-Men worth it?

I'm looking for a good quality multivitamin. Opti-Men seems to be the most popular one.

    Is it worth buying?

    Will cost me £95 / $152 for a years supply (6 x 180)

The Ultimate Performance Enhancing Multivitamin Supplement
ANAVITE is far beyond a mere high potency multivitamin. It's really 3 supplements in 1. A high potency athlete's multivitamin/mineral formula with optimal, clinically validated doses of Beta-Alanine and Carnipure™ (L-Carnitine L-Tartrate) for vastly increasing endurance and nitric oxide levels while reducing recovery time, thus optimally increasing aerobic and anaerobic athletic performance. Fully loaded with highly bioavailable vitamin cofactors such as methylcobalamin and powerful minerals such as methylselenocysteine you can expect that ANAVITE will exceed your expectations in a high potency multivitamin & mineral formulation. To raise the bar even further, Gaspari researchers included 2 FULL GRAMS of the powerful recovery aide Carnipure™ (L-Carnitine L-Tartrate) which has also been shown to increase vasodilation, nitric oxide levels, and increases androgen receptor density. Lastly, while other companies under dose Beta-Alanine, ANAVITE includes over a FULL 3.2 GRAM daily dose of this powerful amino acid which is the dosing threshold clinically shown to increase both anaerobic and aerobic performance. This means you can train harder longer!

    WHAT DOES ANAVITE DO?
Increases Androgen Receptor Content in Muscle†
    Enhances Post Exercise Muscle Recovery†
Increases Vasodilation and Nitric Oxide Availability†
Maximizes Aerobic and Anaerobic Sports Performance†
Contains High Potency Multivitamin & Mineral Formula†

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What makes ANAVITE better than other multivitamins?
A: ANAVITE contains optimal doses of the vitamins and minerals athletes need, utilizing the highest quality bioavailable ingredients. Furthermore, it does not contain ineffective doses of numerous ingredients commonly known as "label fluff," but effective doses of beta-alanine and l-carnitine l-tartrate. These not only help support the body's anti-oxidant systems, but support performance and recovery.

Q: How long does a bottle of ANAVITE last?
A: At the maximum doses ANAVITE contains a 30 day supply.

Q: What is BEST dosing to get the most out of my ANAVITE?
A: 3 tablets is one serving, and we recommend on serving at breakfast and one serving at dinner. Please take with food.

Q: Does ANAVITE cause a "prickling" (aka parathesia) sensation like other beta-alanine products?
A: Because of its advanced tableting technology, the amount of parathesia caused by ANAVITE is minimal if there is any at all. If you do feel any just split the doses into two pills taken with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Q: Why did Gaspari include beta-alanine and l-carnitine l-tartrate in a multivitamin formula?
A: ANAVITE is actually a 3 in 1 supplement. Most other multivitamin formulas really don't do much in terms of increasing performance and contain a bunch of underdosed ingredients that don't equate to much. Furthermore, beta-alanine is best used multiple times a day in clinically validated doses. You'll notice it's used in many pre-workout products that don't contain the optimal dosing. Since multivitamins and beta-alanine are best taken multiple times a day it made sense to stack them in the same product along with a powerful performance boosting anti-oxidant like l-carnitine l-tartrate.

    WE MADE ANAVITE BETTER!

Not many people know this, but the latest batch of ANAVITE to hit the market is EVEN BETTER than the original! Well, what changed?

    NO MORE ARTIFICIAL COLORING
Our customers told us that they were sick of every supplement they take being loaded with artificial coloring.... so we listened! The old Anavite was a bright orange, and the new Anavite is a light brown, which is the natural color of all the ingredients. If you open up your can of Anavite and it looks different, congratulations!! You just got the newest and ABSOLUTE BEST Performance Enhancement Multivitamin on the planet!

    100% RDA MAGNESIUM CHELATE!
This multivitamin is aimed at ATHLETES, and real ATHLETES have needs above and beyond those of normal people. Many researchers claim that athletes need between 400-800mg of Magnesium a day, so we did just that! Each serving of Anavite delivers 200mg of the MAGNESIUM CHELATE! No other multivitamin offers 100% RDA of Magnesium, and no other multivitamin serves the ATHLETE as well as Anavite!

You are probably thinking " so you're telling me that Magnesium is a crucial mineral for ATHLETES... why don't other companies add more to their own multivitamins?" The answer is easy, COST! Magnesium Chelate is expensive, and Magnesium Oxide and Magnesium Citrate are cheap! It is one of the first places that the 'bargain' multivitamins go cheap on. Not only that, but forms of Magnesium such as Oxide or Citrate offer far less Bio-Availability, and are far less expensive than Magnesium Chelate... so to have less than 100% RDA of a less-bioavailable form of magnesium makes no sense! ATHLETES need magnesium, so we deliver! Check the ingredients of all the other "athlete" multivitamins, and you will see that none compare!

    ALBION PRODUCED CHELATED MINERALS
All of Gaspari's Minerals are now produced by ALBION, one of the most trusted vitamin/mineral producers in the world! Chelation is an advanced form of binding an amino acid to the mineral compound to simulate the body's process of absorbing the mineral in the intestines. Without Chelation, most of the minerals in a 'bargain' multivitamin are not being absorbed, which means the ATHLETE (yeah, YOU!) are not getting any of the benefits! All minerals in ANAVITE are now chelated, and provided by Albion, to make sure that we are able to deliver a product that will truly stand out from the competition.

    VITAMIN K CHANGED TO MENAQ7
MenaQ7 is a patented form of Vitamin K2 and has been shown to have significant positive impacts on cardiovascular health and bone density.

STILL A GREAT VALUE, ALL THESE ADDITIONS WITH NO ADDITIONAL COST!

User Submitted Questions (Will be updated as more come in)

Q: I Heard that I should take ANAVITE before training, how would I do this?
A: It is easy and convenient to take three tablets of ANAVITE with breakfast, and another three tablets with dinner. If you would like to change up the dosing schedule, feel free to experiment! We do recommend that you take Anavite with a meal, for best absorption and to help avoid the beta-alanine tingles. Whatever schedule you choose, remember that timing is not as important as remembering to take the FULL two servings twice a day, every day! Take 3 anavite tablets with your preworkout meal 60-120 minutes before training.

Q: I am worried that the 200mg of Magnesium will give me stomach cramps?
A: (As stated by our Senior Vice President of Strategy and Research, Dan Pierce) GI issues commonly occur with forms like magnesium citrate which is also used as laxative due to it's hyperosmotic properties. Basically it pulls water out of other tissues as it moves through the intestines to induce a bowel movement. Cheaper forms of magnesium (oxide, gluconate, and citrate) lose their bonds as they get exposed to the gastric acids which then causes them to have reduced absorption in the intestines which can then lead to potential cramping, diarrhea, etc according to many research studies. Albion's chelated magnesium (and minerals in general) are clinically validated to remain stable in GI tract meaning you can handle more with less cramping and actually absorb them because the remain chelated.

Here's a good video explaining why chelates are superior to other mineral forms.
