My hamstrings are really weak. I tore one in HS & it still gives me fits (tightening up) I made a thread about my hammy "popping" when doing leg curls (doesn't hurt, just feels weird.. I think it's scar tissue). Not too many people responded...
anyway, it gets to the point where I can't walk if I go really heavy on hammy work. I'd like to bring them up but not 100% on the best approach

That's why I was rocking back a little.. that's the smallest box that they have there. I'll see if a bench is lower next time. if not, oh well. OU was exposed last night (just like they were against ND and K-state). Hopefully Mike Stoops can start recruiting his own style of players
Shoulders, arms & core
Seated DB press 3x8 - 60's
Face pulls 3x10'- 120
Upright rows 3x10 - 110
Side raises 3x10 - 20
DB curls 3x10 - 30's
Preachers 3x10 - 50
Tricep ext 3x10 - 130
Overhead cable ext 3x10 - 80
Hanging leg raises 3xfail
weighted cable crunches 3x10 - 150

chest
Floor Press 4x5 - 165 (went for 6 reps on the final set)
Hammer Press 3x8 - 3 plates + 20 lbs
Dips 3x8
DB incline 3x8 - 65's
isolated DB floor press 3x10 - 45's
Cable flys 3x10 - 70
Today felt great.. just in the 2nd week of the current split & extra volume, I feel like I could move a lot more weight. Tempted to load the bar up on the floor press but I don't want to hurt my wrists or elbows on the way down. I'm ready for my back session tomorrow!
Cheeky.. I was about to FB poke you to let you know I was JK. Bunk really does troll too much though. I'm glad to have you on my log

Now that's a gym situation I'd love to be in. Wish my Y at home did that since I was one of a handful of people who used the power rack there. Everyone else flocked to the elipticals and bikes since they have TVs attached to them lol.

Do you always use thumbless grip when benching? Stay safe with that. And I thought you were done "benching"..so why floor presses? If you haven't tried, I'd do paused benching over floor press. Much more fluid, and keeps tension throughout the movement, especially if you're doing DB and BB floor presses.

On floor pressing with the safety bar its not an issue. I just always worry when I see people doing bench press like that.
If your shoulders are giving you trouble, paused bench actually might not be ideal. I notice a little discomfort in my shoulders doing paused, and I dont get any during TnG. But I also feel a lot more chest activation with paused. I have always just found floor press a little awkward for me personally and didn't like losing tension at the bottom..but different goals, biomechanics, yada yada, you might do better with them. Never hurts to try thoughTransformation Journal:

Anabolic food pron at its finest...do you do most of/all the cooking, or the wife? either way i stay mirin...howd the deficit DLs treat ya btw? Ive never done any ROM variations on any lifts and it looks like you are utilizing quite a few. Might have to start, seeing as some of my lifts arent increasing as fast as they once were.

Thanks brotato
I do all of the cooking, minus the baking stuff.. that's all her. the only thing I bake are my dr. pepper muffins
deficits felt weird. instead of using bumper plates, I'll use regular 45's. Erick thought that my deficit was too high and that it's changing my stance too much. I really need to work on flexibility.
