You'll also build more power for everyday demands on your upper body, like pushing a shopping cart.

I swear I just want to hurl when I see stuff like that! The ever popular perpetuation of the toning myth. Ugh... Just makes me cringe.

Hey I think that woman stole my little sisters toys and mistook them for dumbbells.....

I'll admit, I have dumbells that small.
I bought them for my kids when they were 3 and 5 and 8 so they could "workout" with me when I was doing weights at home before I got my nicer set up.
Even now my kids who are now 8 and 10 and almost 14 use heavier dumbells than that when they join in.

hehe...I think if you added up the metal from all my piercings it would weigh more than those...Who the hell decided that some thing that light was ever going to give you any 'sculpting' results?

LOL at the dumbells!
I have a call me notice at the local Habitat store for any exercise and weight equipment. I went by yesterday to see what the weights they had gotten in were and, yep they were mini dumbells and some dumb contraption that you rock on the floor for "abs". I had a hard time explaining to the lady volunteers that those things are not really what I was looking for! I want "MAN" stuff.

I bought the six week body makeover, but promptly returned it when I saw that the diet consisted of "eating clean". It was no different that anything I have read on this board. It comes with these straps thingies that are utter crap. Their website is full of fat, lazy, whiners. They are self sabotaging wuss buckets and I got fed up within days. They would freak out if I mentioned cooking spray or olive oil. Yet they remain fat after years of being on the diet.
Although, for some this is the most excersie and diet they will ever know, and for that, more power to them.

Unfortunately, if it ain't easy, most people don't want to do it.
I have several friends that love to complain about being fat but when I tell them well, come work out with me and clean up your eating - they tell me they don't want to hear it.
Okay, with me but I don't want to hear them complaining about being fat anymore either. I'm not where I want to be but at least I TRY!
That's probably why I don't see them much anymore. Oh well!
