Hey I'm currently 14 and I'll be turning 15 in Febuary. I've started to lift since october but im sort of worried. Is it safe for someone at my age to be lifting? Whenever i feel sore in my shoulders or arms or chest, i have a feeling I injured something. My dad is only 6 foot but I'd really like to be his height at least, and im scared lifting right now would make me stuck at 5'9.

lifting at your age is fine kiddo
the soreness you feel is either DOMS - delayed onset muscle soreness, which is usually the day after/few days after lifting heavy, or bad form.
Since you're young, I'm going to go ahead and guess it's a combination of both. Really focus hard on your form and you won't have many problems, but if you don't and you try to ego lift like most people in the gym... well you will suffer the consequences.
Lifting does not stunt your growth either, so keep on lifting.

Lifting will not effect you buddy. Unless your form is terrible you're probably helping prevent injuries by working out the muscles, getting blood in there, and basically giving them room to work! Also, lifting does not stunt your growth, so if you turn out to only be 5'10'', it wasn't the lifting, it's just genetics bud. You're still very young and have a lot of room to grow. Don't worry!
Good luck.“You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth than go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers sayin’, you ain’t where you wanna be because of him or her or anybody!"

Eat a lot to make sure you get proper nutrition. Get 1g protein per lb bodyweight and about 1.5g carb per lb. .4-.6g fat should be okay too. Make sure you have proper form(post vids on youtube and link them to us to critique). Otherwise you should be fine and will be very happy you started lifting so soon because by the time you are 18-20 you will be a beast. I highly recommend rippetoes starting strength until you can bench 225 lbs, squat 315, and deadlift 405. It'll teach you the basic mechanics and ways of lifting and your newb gains on it will be through the roof assuming you eat at a 300-500 calorie surplus.

Weight lifting is completely safe at your age, make sure you take time to learn how to do lifts correctly with light weight first and than slowly progress up.
The only thing that may stunt your growth is a bad injury.Rep back 100+
