i have always been close to pulling the trigger on one of these.

They are tough as nails and reliable, I've heard the bracelets are absolute trash. From what I've heard/researched they are certainly worth the <$100 price tag they usually receive.

Been following this thread for weeks now. My Seiko Sport 5 Automatic stopped moving so I bought a Armani Exchange watch as a "Temporary" watch.

After reading this entire thread, decided to get a "decent" watch from either Seiko or Hamilton.

Hamilton, Viewmatic Open Heart. Bought this off Ebay Auction for $400 ( Cheap as fuk, looks brand new too ). Checked retail stores and they sell for like 99,900+ Yen ( $1000 ).

I told her it is probably not worth much as quartz tends to be less collectable but really i have no idea. Supposedly she paid around $800AUD about 30 years ago but i dont know how she remembers that. Anywho, any help with identifying the model or value would be awesome. She seems to think it is a real diamond but not real gold.

Never seen a similar piece before. Does she still have box & papers? Anyhow, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Since it's a woman's watch and quartz (and gp and longines) it's not that popular, so with B&P it will be 200AUD at best if you have a lot of patience. Women's watches are hard to sell brah, certainly the ones that aren't very desireable. Brb, it took me over half a year to sell a ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which is still quite popular) at a low price. You have to get lucky as in: someone that actually wants it and wants to spend money on it has to happen to come across the watch. Not an easy task brah.

I have the 3717-01. Recently picked up an OEM deployant clasp and she's now my favourite watch. Now the watch is more balanced as it originally came on a smallish tang buckle, which was over powered by the chunky watch head.
