Hey guys I'm looking for something stimulant heavy to get me in the lifting mindset. I took preworkouts, but I want something with more stimulants, and less creatine/alanine/arginine. I was thinking about taking a Thermogenic. Can you recommend something that only has stimulants? A baseline of how many more calories I should eat to prevent muscle catabolism would be appreciated as well. Thanks guys

Your personal caloric intake is entirely dependent on your stats and activity level. Head over to the nutrition section and read the stickies threads to calculate your maintenance level, and adjust to your goals.
As far as a thermogenic goes, check out ErgoShred. It's gotten amazing reviews, and is currently 20% off in the bodybuilding.com store with code "20pereshred."

Check out NeuroSurge. (no creatine, BA, arginine)
It's a nootropic based formula to support Strength, Endurance, also Aids in Focus & Concentration!
Here's more info from the store: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ne...eurosurge.html
You could also do a search for Velocity XT -- if you prefer straight stims & caps instead of a powder.

Just leave.
OP, no stim is going to get you in a lifting mindset. Lifting is something you have to want to do, not something thats a chore. I personally always look forward to my workouts, Use it as a way to better myself. Would suggest trying San Feirce Domonation or C4 (Focus wise not for pumps) Will make you wanna workout I guess. As I said tho, you need to want it to get it.Weight gainers are a waste of money.

Not everyone who gets you out of **** is your friend.

I do have to agree though, you definetly have to WANT to work-out to do it. Yes I too look forward to my work-outs, it's tough and sometimes grueling but in the end it does so many positive things for you. You need to set yourself a goal or goals and try to reach them, maybe that will help you get into work-out better than any Stim will. I play Sled Hockey and I'm trying to get a little bigger and stronger to help me play my game better so that is my goal and that's why I work-out I still do stand behind GNC Pro Peformance Thermobust Hardcore and it does really work for me perhaps there is something better out there that I just haven't tried yet. No matter what anyone says. Everyone is different and you should try to find something that works for you.

Take a look at our highly rated Ergo Shred
or our lesser know, but just as effective ErgoBurn(which is more of what you are looking for, I think)
As for adding calories, if you're on a good diet now see what happens after a couple weeks, then add 500 cals if you think you need more, wait a couple more weeks, add 500 more if necessary ... all clean foods of course
But as long as you're getting some good complex carbs in your energy levels should be consistent ... depending on the day and how much sleep you get. The Thermogenics will help, but they'll really only give you a boost from the caffeineJournal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175642411
