Sandy destroyed the power at my gym and its been closed. No telling when the power will be back. I took yesterday as an off day since it was the first day it was closed and it looks like it wont be open again today. My goal is to build muscle and I'm going nuts just sitting around the house all day. Problem is, i dont have weights. I have a treadmill (hesitant to use it because i lose muscle easily) and access to workout videos on comcast. Any suggestions as to what i can do to continue to progress with my goals? thanks!

Progress isn't made or lost over the course of a few days. Relax. Easy enough to do some bodyweight work if you want: squats, lunges, planks, push-ups etc.
Goal: Peace, love & happiness...and arms that go bump in the night.

Don't sweat it, it won't kill your progress.
I've went weeks without power after Ike and Rita. Luckily I worked 14 hour shifts for 20 some odd days trying to restart the refinery so my mind was preoccupied with work, eat, cold shower, try to sleep in humid hot house...last thing on my mind was the gym.
If you are going stir crazy go for a walk/run/bike ride, of course avoiding downed power lines and trees. Go offer to help clean up. Working a chainsaw and moving tree debris is tough work...ought to do you some good.Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

DL fallen trees off of people's houses and cars? J/k, pullups, chinups, pushups, situps, etc will have to do for a while. Consider it a deload and then come back with some major gym rage and murder the weights!!
Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1

I was actually at the gym during the hurricane doing squats.. I thought the power was gonna go out for sure while i was doing them. Im bout to post a video for a form check on them in a second, but if i couldnt make it in there.. I was gonna stick with basic movements @ home. Its better then nothing. Always remember, something is better then nothing. Think positive!

If you don't have weights at home there is still plenty you can do. There is a lot of leg work, ab and core work you can do in addition to some upper body. Try various squats, lunges, push ups, even wall push ups, different planks, superman, and pull ups. Look online and you can find some stuff. I invested in adjustable weights and resistance bands so that I had options if I couldn't get to the gym. Stay safe!
