So my training by The Strength Guys is beating me to death, but I am working it through. I had to stop benching because of a small tendonitis issue in my elbow/forearm area. It's probably not tendonitis as it only flares up twice per year if that from just overuse and abuse, and inflexibility most likely. I am not worried because I do well with some time off and I would rather be injury free and not benching than benching and grinding my teeth from the pain each day. Everything else is going WELL!!!
I hit some PR's tonight
Deadlifts 95%
405x5
500x2
550x2
605x2,2,2
I was suppose to hit 3 on the first set, but I had a sudden drop from my small intestine into my anus, TMI lol. I could not keep going, but I do regret not sucking it up lol.

Getting there, need to cut back on the peanut butter pop tarts Thanks buddy, and since my prep ended in November they stayed pretty tight for the most part. I don't have the detail in my hammies/glutes but the skin is sooo tight in those areas that it is hard to get a skin fold. I wish my abs would have stayed lean, some can get 40lbs over and still have good composition in their abs, mine go after 10-15lbs.Team Norton

I am kinda of nervous, but excited to make another max test next week. I hate testing it out so frequently, but I have not tested my squat since the first of March. I'm not testing my bench during this routine, and I will be testing deadlifts again if I feel well enough. I have plans to beat 675!!!
During this session below I had to 97.5% of my estimated max for 2 reps. This is not an all time PR, but mid-training it is a good PR for me. It didnt feel very heavy at all once I got under and picked it up. I am pretty excited to get under the bar next week
Squat
135x10
225x10
315x5
405x4
475x3
545x2
590x2
Sumo Speed Deadlifts
425x5,5,5,5,5
Reverse Hypers
3 sets of 10
Seated Calves
5 sets of 10-15

Whats up everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been getting ready for mine and Lyndseys wedding July 20th. If anybody missed that update a few weeks ago, it will be in Richmond Virginia. We are excited but very busy with short notice plans. We have been training hard together, and she has been helping me a long. Things are progressing pretty decent lately so hopefully things will get better. Right now with my training it is 100% bodybuilding focus for awhile so my body can rest tendon wise anyways. I am excited to grow some with better development. I will start posting some more as time goes by. I plan to do a powerlifting meet in October and or November this year, so stay tuned for that!!!
For some interesting notes, 2 year progress pics

I have been focusing on getting bigger the last couple of weeks, and rest up my body with heavy lifting. My volume is rather high right now with high frequency as well, so far everything seems to be responding decently
Taking the weights a little easy, but I do a 6 rep max with an RPE of 8-9, then 80% of THAT weight for 5 sets of 12. I am still adjusting to the volume so I have not pushed the RPE at all yet.
Low Bar squat (new technique)
135x12
225x12
315x5
405x5
315x12,12,12,12,12
Hack squat-slow eccentric (4 seconds)
5 sets of 5
hack Squats, slow concentric (4 seconds)

SLDL (2:0:2)
315x5,5,5,5,5
Leg Curls

Everything is going well with life, and I am getting married this Saturday July 20th. I plan to rest up my body with training until August. It has been a ROUGH year of training so far and I have accomplished MANY goals thus far. I still have some goals un touched for the years end, so I need to get to work once the end of August rolls around. My main focus right now is building some muscle and letting my body heal up some from heavy poundages above 90% lifting. I switched to a very low bar squatting, and I am enjoying it so far besides it being uncomfortable. I think this will yield me and my structure to killing squats to a greater degree later on once I become use to this new technique.
Low Bar Squats
405x5
455x5
500x5
315x12,12,12,12,12
Hack Squats ,Tempo (4:1:1, 1:1:4)
10 sets of 5 reps, 340lbs
SLDL Tempo (3:1:1)
315x6
405x6,6,6,6
Leg Curls
5 sets of 15-20 repititions

[b]Hey everyone, long time no update. I have been lurking more over at MD for a while without logging much. I got married this Summer, went on my honeymoon in August, went on another honeymoon to Vegas during Olympia weekend, and had a lot of fun at both spots. We partied some in Vegas so not much relaxing. My strength is hopefully better than ever, and growing a little more hopefully. My Powerlifting career is hopefully ended by choice after my meet next Saturday Nov. 9th. Just because I want to focus on my true love of getting bigger and better development. Here are some update videos, but not much. Look out for my video and update next week, I may go into what I am going to do after my meet, and what my goals are in the future for some of you wondering my new routines in the bbing world are and why.[/img]

Thank you guys. Glad to see you all still around. It gets difficult tracking in the off-season, but I guess I need to quit looking at it like that. I hate when I want to look back at certain sessions and I realize I did not track it. I will try and update atleast once a week. I want to get into more updating my youtube page more often with more training sessions recorded with some audio vlogs attached to them.

The big day is done and gone. My first meet in 1.5 years is over and I am rather pleased. I hit across the board all time meet PR's. I hit an all time squat PR of 645lbs and then a 675lb squat that they called high, but in my world I lifted it so I am happy. Bench I ended up 385 and missed a paused 405, that I have done before at the gym. The pulls were my most anticipated, and was the most disappointed. I trained balls to wall as hard as I could on pulling to reach 700. I ended up tieing a 675 gym pull in a full meet, so PR either way. Check out the video of all of my lifts. Like, share, subscribe the the youtube page. Thanks everyone, I plan to take my new ELITE total to another meet in March 8th one week after the Arnold Classic weekend.
Wow thanks man, I am never done. Life becomes consuming with things, that make themselves appear more important than bbing or plifting..yea right!! LOLTeam Norton

So I have been taking it easy and just doing a basic upper/lower split this week and next week during the Holidays. Then when I get back I am using my new mono lift and new squat bar I just purchased for Christmas for myself
Not the same one I am getting in the above picture, mine is going to be better updated. I am pretty happy to get to use something this advanced with the machine and bar. I will get to use the same items I will be competing with for a long time so that should help me succeed in the long run. When I get my mono-lift Sunday or next Sunday after Thanksgiving I will be doing Smolov squat routine again just the base meso of it though, I just want a small boost of strength before I start contest prep training for the meet in MarchTeam Norton
