What's good peep! I'm lovin the energy in here. What's some of the better ways to promote SS?. Right now I'm using FB Ads but it feels like ImDoinItWrong.
I think promoting anything thru iG is difficult since click thru links aren't allowed, many users are conditioned to scrolling/double tap which is why a lot of users ask a question when the answers already in the caption. They only wanna see pictures, and if the pictures doesn't speak all- forget about it. With that being said, to anyone out there converting thru IG, major props to you.

SEO is a very different beast than it was two or three years ago. It's an expensive game to get into. Domain branding, private blog links, and long form content are what is killing it in 2014.

IG is great if you have a community around a tight niche. For example if you build a page around a certain TV show, you can sell shirts good if they have characters/sayings from that show. Use pictures of your niche to build your followers and then upload a picture of the shirt. People will tag their friends and who also like that niche and you'll keep growin.
It's not so hot if your shirts are more broad, general sayings, or your brand name only on the shirt.
FB ads can work great, especially if you use retargeting.

I've noticed so many IG accounts with 20 or 30k followers and like 50-100 likes per post. Is there some advantage to having so many fake followers? There's no way you can have that many followers and so few likes.

I don't really see an advantage to buying fake followers since it is relatively easy to gain a few thousand real followers in a month. Only advantage I would see is if you really wanted freebies and messaged every startup clothing company on IG telling them you would promote to "your 100k+ followers." Had a kid with 70k followers wanting to promote my gear but I checked all his posts and they would get around 200 to 500 likes at most. I started getting at least 300 every post after 5k followers.
On another note, I really need to get back into my Amazon affiliate sites. One of mine doesn't get much traffic but has a 6% conversion rate on clicked amazon links which results in a few sales each month. I'm promoting products that I make at least $10 per sale even at 4% commission.Lifts as of November 2013. 1 month left of bulking before cut begins January 13,2014

yeah, another thing is if people are just following back, but have no interest in your pics. they're just following back to keep their numbers up.
One of the reasons why i don't follow people once i get an account past a certain number. Or I really target the people I following.

Thanks
Thanks, Ill check it out.
Correct. I had a few designs snatched off the list because of this. I got in touch with a rep and was told that if I got two letters from the owner/company granting permission for use of brand/logo/representation etc- all is good.
But Id rather propose an NDA, and work on a collab if it came to that, got a few ideas in mind. Possibilities are endless, just gotta get the pot bubblingHealth, Wealth, and Knowledge Itself.

Dat feel when getting a email that someone has made a new order hnnnnnnnnng
I owned both phpBB and vBulletin forums in the past.
phpBB is good, nice and simple. vBulletin at the time was best forum you could use, not sure anymore. It used to cost a licensing fee to use it, but you can get free if you looks in the right places.
I do have to mention it can be very difficult getting regular forum members. I think I got up to around 500 members on a forum, and maybe 15-20 were regulars.

Also, forums are incredibly difficult to start. Once they're growing it isn't as bad but getting the initial user base is incredibly difficult. You need to be active throughout the entire day, responding and creating threads to make the forum look active.
I really hope you have a well thought out plan for acquiring users. Good luck brah
