Firstly, you're giving him too much credit & reading too much into it - he ain't trying to make a point. Secondly, it's not 'big brother' - the cameras are in the private companies, in which there are laws regarding their use of cameras - which we assume they abide by. This guy is filming for his own purposes - of which no-one knows about. Given he looks 'weird' and his behaviour is 'weird,' obviously people would become even more suspicious; fuq he could even be fapping to the vids. Take the vids for what they are, some dude making some weird, but strangely semi-humourous vids

This kind of stuff isn't new and the people doing it are not cute and "oh so alpha" what they are doing is using a law in an attempt to harass innocent people in public. So we have two things..

1) the ability to take video/audio in public places (note that you can not stand out side in public and video tape inside).


2) doing something with the intent of harassing people. So as soon as this person or anyone "zero" ins on someone they go from being protected by the law to actually breaking another law.


I've actually had this happen to me years ago, some douche walked into where I was working with a video recorder and questioned me about how this makes me feel being recorded, he was trying to get a rise out of me I assumed to show how terrible the law is. I personally didn't care but I had to have him removed when he started harassing the customers.
