Weird Stomach Problem.. Getting anxiety and strange feelings after eating.

Recently since I started bulking, I have been getting these weird feelings when I eat.

I will sit down at dinner and eat, and then right after I get this anxious feeling like I am going to have a panic attack. It feels like I get lightheaded and almost like a feeling of doom comes over me and I can't sit still. It is almost like restless leg syndrom but over my entire body. I get the jitters and I can't sit still. If I am at a restaurant I need to get up and walk around outside to not feel weird.

Also I noticed when this happens I have a stomach ache and have some diarrhea.

Anybody know this feel or have experience in it? I have heard that it could be acid reflux related and my vagus nerve is being irritated. Just wondering if it has anything to do with lifting or taking pre-workouts and if any other brahs have felt this.

Sounds a bit like a panic attack, and would therefore probably be a bit of anxiety. Anxiety is very common.

I recommend seeing your doctor about this.

Any of your supplements has Phenylalanine? read an article the other day effect of Phenylalanine on melatonin , when the later drops it sometimes causes panic attacks.

I would recommend you pay a visit to your doc.

Edit: Might be psychologically related, if your under test ,GF, family ,money stress.

    More info...

I take anti-histamine every day for seasonal allergies/asthma.

I am not allergic to any food that I know of..

I was prescribed Prilosec and it seems to help some days, others not.

I have had a full blown panic attack before... One night after dinner I was getting extreme hunger pangs, even though I was very full. I went to 711 to get a snickers to quiet the hunger and on the way there I had a very bad panic attack...I got through it and the next day after eating a very large lunch I had a worse panic attack which sent me to the emergency. i got my blood checked and tests done and nothing was found..

I went on a cut and never had the problems any more until now when I am back on a bulk and eating more. I have heard that eating too much with an acid reflux problem could cause the vagus nerve to be simulated causing anxiety..

EDIT: and I have not had a panic attack since the incident last year.. Now I just get this euphoric light headed feeling like I am high.. But also it makes me nauseas and worried like I am going to die or something.. I kind of start a panic attack but don't go into a full blown one. It always happens right after I eat a large meal and goes away after about 30 mins and when i go to the bathroom it seems to help.'

I also go to the bathroom about 3-4 times a day.. usually right after a meal.

    stop taking all pre-workouts,

do you eat alot?? also does it occur and when is it at its worst, when you eat? after you eat?

if your eating alot and you are literally stuffed, its not unusual to feel light headed, however this feeling may make you feel anixous, as you think "why do i feel like this" and then the whole thing snowballs into full blown anxiety

    any history of anxiety?

could also be the start of some form of eating disorder, i would nip this in the bud ASAP OP to prevent it from escalating and seek medical advice

i ignored mine and my panic attacks went away. all i had to do was remind myself to stop fking worrying about dumb sht. trying to figure out WHY might drive a person crazy and fukc their life.

society these days pushes people to keep asking why which drives them crazy and is just a tactic to get hooked on their drugs which ends up making things worse in the long run

But bro.. I don't think it's panic attacks.. I think it is stomach related and happens exclusively when I eat. Which means something is going wrong inside me triggering these feelings.

you're prone to anxiety/panic attacks (as you stated you've had them before) and this is becoming your trigger. Anxiety is a mental disorder, your brain is starting to associate eating big meals with anxiety. The nausea/vomiting/diarrhea symptom is a common response to severe anxiety.

Same reason you vomit under heavy G-force loading, same reason you vomit when you are sick. Your brain can't correctly comprehend what is going on, it feels something is severely wrong and can only determine that you must have been "poisoned." It rids you of everything (food, waste) in an attempt to save your life.

Edit: I've dealt a lot with anxiety and people with anxiety....anything can become a trigger as stupid and as harmless as that trigger may seem. I highly recommend a therapeutic attempt to help your anxiety rather than pills (which is what your doctor will recommend right away) at first. And to talk to a specialist if it gets to a point where it interferes with your everyday life. Some of those pills (Paxil for example) can make your life down the road very, very tough...

This happened to me when I bought a certain tub of orange C4. I feel like it was just that tub, the mixture was off or something.

I was eating dinner and had some weird feeling overcome me, it's really hard to describe. The lighting was messing with me, felt like I was on a cruise and about to pass out and had to leave the restaurant before the food arrived. After it happened, I would take half a scoop and it would still hit me like a heaping scoop. I've never had any problems with anxiety other than that one time and I still take pre-workouts. I felt weird a few days after too until I realized I need to stop thinking about it so much. I think if you strongly anticipate an anxiety attack or over think small symptoms, it's definitely coming your way. Honestly though, I've never been able to 100% get that one anxiety attack feeling out of the back of my head... it sucks. I used to read the misc anxiety stories in shock but I definitely understand it a bit more now.

Youre eating a ton at a time probbaly for bulking, and your stomach cant handle the volume. That's my educated opinion.

Sometimes large volumes of food in your stomach can irritate the vagus nerve and cause this. I know the link I posted doesnt go into detail much, but this sometimes happens with binge eaters. Next time it happens, check your heart rate. is it fast, slow, regular beats or are you skipping beats, etc? Is it after you eat a very large amount? Do you eat fast? Are you drinking a lot of water with your meals? What type of foods?
