    Losing 1lb of fat a week, and gaining 1lb of muscle a week

    Hello,

    Is it possible to lose one pound of fat a week, and gain a one pound of muscle a week? If so, any tips on how to achieve this?

    Gaining a pound of muscle a week would be a tremendous accomplishment in it's own right, while eating like a horse. While losing a pound of fat a week? It's not going to happen.

    There is not definitive way to say what you will and wont gain. Eat at a 500 deficit maximum, hit all of your Macros and stick to your lifting program hard and lift Heavy. If you don't have one get on one. What you gain depends on so many factors it will be impossible to say Yes you will or no you will not.

    Work hard, The results will come.

    it's possible to gain muscle mass and lose fat at the same time if you're a beginner, it's called recomposition. But it's not not necessarily 1lb of muscle and 1lb of fat a week

    Thank you all for the information! I was trying to bring my hopes up, because I want to cosplay for Comic Con in July, but I think as long as I get some results by then I'll be happy. I'm going to start Jason's 5x5 workout this Monday, and I'll be hitting it hard!
