I imagine the flux capacitor isn't cheap to replace, either.

Well originally I was going to buy the system outright, but then I asked some questions of one of their sister franchises, who explained in the next 16-24 months or so, they'll have to come and do a routine maintenance and minor parts replacement, and at that age if I was going to buy it outright they would charge me the same amount as the total I'll have paid in the $22 per month rental... Except keeping it under short term rental for now means if something does happen... They come fix it for free.

Usually I NEVER rent when I can own on ANYTHING if at all possible, this just happens to be one of those strange keyholes in value to depreciation.

They said if I bought this same system new tomorrow it would be $1300+... If I wait for the next maintenance, we're talking $350.

of all the .380s, it's my favorite and IMO the best out there. Is it for you or your gf? I owned one before and it was just too small for me. It can fit ANYWHERE concealed, but I just like stuff a little bit bigger.

Halfway in to work this morning, and I decided I didn't really want to come in at 5. So I went to Wal Mart and wondered around the clearance section and the outdoor department looking for deals. Found some decent shooting stuff, but decided I really didn't need any of it right now. I did find a cool magazine, though. It's called "American Frontiersman" and it looks pretty cool.

Nurse tried the big fat visible vein in my left arm and couldn't hit it so another nurse went after my right arm and blew it up. Standard blood panel for a physical for the new job.

That blown vein is sore as hell today and big lump of clotted up blood stuck in my arm I guess. I wonder if I can hit the gym today or if I should wait? I wouldn't want my pressure to increase and pop the hole open again? Pressure was 110/80 sitting there, thought it would have been better than that.

With a hematoma you'll be fine doing cardio... But I wouldn't do anything that works the muscle in that area hard for 5-7 days.

Like holding the bar for squats... No big... But I wouldn't bust out any curls.

I had a lifting buddy in college who got one while donating plasma and he just tried to act like it was a sore spot... And worked it like usual... And it seemed like it didn't get ANY better for like 2 weeks.

I think they also say that you should drink more water, and it will help a hematoma go down.

Sorry it's been 15+ years so I don't have it all off the top of my head.

Maybe Mr Feather will chime in... I'm supposed to Deadlift tomorrow. Not worried about the soreness/pain, just want to be sure the vein is healed so I don't make it leak more.

I'd let it be for a few days. I always have the same weird feeling when I have blood drawn. I won't lift at all for a day or two because I am afraid that it might explode.....

I wouldn't worry a ton about the vein leaking after 24 hours on a standard blood draw... Veins are low pressure and your body designed them to heal quickly.

When you've got a hematoma (Blood clot from blood spilled outside the vein, but under the skin and in the muscle) It's naturally going to affect how that muscle works and the attachment to the Bicepetal Tendon that is right there.

It's been fine for a few weeks now, but I was struggling with that bicep tendon (on both ends) for about 4 months straight so I'm a bit concerned about maintaining them.

One of the things about the BT is that it has 2 attachments on both ends, and one can be compromised and you probably won't notice it... But if one is compromised and the other is struggling to handle the strain you will feel it pretty seriously.

So if you've got something there that's been giving you chronic trouble, then the "Wise Move" is to throttle back and/or go see a doc.

Really, I'd just call it an abs and cardio week.

I am pretty pissed. I bought a bunch Dell stocks a few month ago around $10.13. It started bringing back some nice gains , today it was bought out for $13.65 a share. I made some decent profits, but I wanted to hold this for a few more months!!! BOLLOCKS

Yeah the broker who handles my investments and IRA keeps "Touching base" with me on Birthdays and Holidays and such to see if I want to sink more money in with him... But the last 4 statements I've gotten has shown that I've either made a very tiny percentage of money or taken a minor loss in my portfolio while he's been handling it.

I've become convinced that investing in the American Stock Market based on the notion of overall market strength and stability is a worse move than if I just was to take some side cash and make risky moves in stuff that I can see on the horizon... Like Steel, or Water Infrastructue & Technology or just make the evil play and go Monsanto.

    On a cool note...

My wife has gone from the baby having dropped to "Lightening" (Tomorrow she is 37 weeks, which is considered minumum Full Term) In Lightening the baby has dropped and is sort of rolled forward with the lower body.

So like the knee that used to be just under my wife's liver area is now just above her belly button type of thing.

Well last night Eva stuck her foot out, and you could see it on my wife's belly... And so I tickled it a little... She wriggled the foot and move it over... I tickled again and she wriggled it and pulled it back in.

I've been doing very well for myself over that past few years. I put in a good amount of time though on research and it's been paying off. When I was 18 I put my money into my Roth and some mutuals, but I was just not satisfied with the results. That's why I do my own stuff now, but sometimes I wish I could just trust someone else enough. There are plenty of firms out there that have shown great results (average of 7%+ interest a year) I just always have three things lurking in my head. What if they don't do well, I know I could always do better and how much am I comfortable with just handing over!!!!!

When you started yours; what was their cut? Was there a guaranteed % they said each year? Who are you going through, someone local or big whigs?

You think that's bad? We sold 200 shares of Honeywell a month or two ago when it hit $62. It's over $69 right now and trending up.

My record with stocks is horrendous. Some big investment firm should hire me and use me as a negative indicator. If I say sell, you hold. If I say buy, you run far, far away. If I say hold, sell that sucker post haste.

I don't remember all the particulars off the top of my head, because I've just left it on mental cruise control. It's a guy who's a an IC broker for Franklin Templeton... He's my age, marital status (Which is a big deal because I won't do business with Baby Boomers unless I absolutely have to) and his fees were the smallest I'd seen of all my options.

For now I'm content to just let it stay on cruise control because I have enough iron's in the fire in my RL as it is... In 7-8-9-10 years though, we're going to see a short term economic bubble rise naturally out of our economy as the baby boomers start dieing and their inheritances go back into the economy.

When I start seeing that trend happening and my money situation should be improving, and I should have less Irons in the fire by then... I figure I'll take the reigns more and attack with vision on some short and medium term plays.

Right now if I just tried to make the mental space required, I'd just do a half assed job at my investments.
