Yes didn´t think that was possible - but it has been reported a few times that a moose have made it to shore.
And I agree - they should just have let it be. Sometimes all these well meaning people cause more harm to animals than good.
Over here we are having the 2 x a year recurrent problem - due to daylight saving time change this saturday. Many more roadkills!! Deer get use to crossing roads at certain hours ...

Here is my doe I got w/ my bow the other day. Cut up and in the freezer now. Sorry about the bad pic. I was by myself and just used a timer. I didn't even remember to get my bow for the picture.

If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

^^ I freaking HATE daylight savings time, dumbest idea ever.
They were both very healthy Gadwall drakes. He took shots at Teal, more Gadwall, a Mottled Duck, and a few Pintail as well. I was a bad daddy, bought him a new gun and threw him out into the field with it without any practice whatsoever.
I did actually get a pic of the dog.

Well, I guess I'm not buying any Mepps or Mr Twister products anymore. http://www.jsonline.com/watchdog/wat...176185031.html

Well I have returned from my 4 day adventure across South Dakota!
Had a really great time... I've been given the new moniker "The Patch Adams of Advertising."
It was a real trip down memory lane for me, having taken so many family vacations out there when I was young... But haven't been back out there in 20 years so it was cool seeing the changes in things while at the same time remembering how they were back in the day.
On the last night out there we took the entire group up to Mount Rushmore for Sunset photos etc... And they opened the park to us as a private party. The restaurant up there put on a HUGE fancy dinner trying to impress. Normally goes for $100 a plate and includes a $50 bottle of wine. (Drank a whole one all by myself)
After dinner I took a moment to wander outside, went out to the end of the observation deck... Standing there alone in the dark of night a quarter mile from the next closest human beings... Just me and the mountain lit up in the darkness... The solitude was staggering.
Then the tour bus almost left me behind.
Note: It's a bad idea to try to dead sprint a quarter mile with a gut full of 5000 calorie Prime Rib dinner and a bottle of wine!
I can't wait until the baby is old enough to take on vacations... Rushmore was my first real vacation and the wife and I have agreed it will be hers... In like 6 years.
Got back at 1:30 last night... Still not really in my right mind...6'4"

Sounds like you had really great time man! I am however very thrilled to read you counted calories and will run a 1/2 marathon or 3 to balance out -)
And I was thinking I am getting old when I read - memory lane - trust me you are not old(er) until you discover your first WHITE chest hair and quickl trim it before it spread like wildfires!!

Yeah when you go on these tours like this every stop you make they try to impress you so that you'll come back and more importantly recommend them to other people. Well the best way to impress is to roll out your biggest and best meal options.
So every stop all three meals a day it was everyone trying to give me for free the best food on their menu served by their hottest waitress in a low cut dress, before I ride back in their deluxe shuttle to my free executive suite.
I mean I drove out there in a 1012 Dodge Charger... Basically a 4 day vacation, Guided across all of the hotest tourism attractions, fed the best food, wined and dined served top shelf booze, sleeping in a 1200 square foot suite with my own friggin' living room!
All I had to do was keep people entertained with witty banter, do some problem solving and MC a tradeshow.
Total cost to me for 4+ days of this... $42
Although maybe I shouldn't have drank the $50 bottle of wine like a friggin' hobo the last night!

LOL... Yeah I'm almost never awake past midnight!
What sucked was the 13 hours on the road to get back... And then I still had another 45 minute drive home from the main office.
But today all I'm really doing is fielding e-mails and otherwise it's just a day off.6'4"

I did not get to fish on this trip due to the high wind. Fish were caught until the day we were there and then again last night. LOL
I hope you made it through the storm without any big issues. We ended up with about 8" of snow and lost power for a day....glad I was at the cabin instead. My current log

Good that you have your picture priorities straight. I sure miss Misty, my lab.
I too hate the time change coming up.
Thanks. Wild game/fish is my primary protein source.
I hate that you will miss the season. Free??? as in you get 5 yrs free for your service or 5 years of freed up time? Thanks BTW.My current log

Yesterday for a "Day off" ended up being way busier than I thought. But I put two deals in the works... Both have some strong energy and if they close will pay all my bills for the Month of April!
That and I think I'm starting to get sick...
This is what happens when you let a bunch of old people breathe on you, then drive non stop for 13 hours from 69 degrees, warm and dry to 34 degrees wet and cold.

Pfft... I love this time change coming up... I get an extra hour of sleep during deer hunting and the sun actually comes up at a somewhat reasonable hour, so I'm not starting my work day in 1-2 hours of predawn blackness.
It's the spring one where you lose an hour of sleep that really screws me up.
In the Northern Climes and the agricultural areas the time change is a lot more important than in the south or in the city.6'4"

Boy that drive home in the dark late tuesday night SUCKED...
I was crazy tired to the point where the lines on the road were a little hazy... And the whole time I was thinking "It'll be just my luck that I'll drive 13 hours across 2 states and then hit a friggin' deer in the middle of the night on an abandoned country road like 5 miles from my house!"6'4"
