so after doing my back-bi's day yesterday, today i seem to have the middle of my arms sore, like the very top of my forearm before the bicep starts. it just feels like DOMS but im wondering if this is normal from curls?ive had this before too but never really paid much dilligence to it until now and it got me wondering why this happens. i feel it when i straighten my arms, then i feel the soreness.

Sounds like everyone in this thread is going far too heavy on biceps, and cheating their way up. When I do biceps, I literally have the dumbbell rest in my palm, I don't even wrap my fingers around the handle. My hand/forearms are 100% relaxed and not being used, this puts all of the weight onto the bicep. Sure, 20 pound dumbbells are pretty heavy doing it like this, but you need to go heavy for your biceps, not just a heavy weight. Watch Kai Greene do curls, he uses 35s and can barely get 9 reps, this should be saying something.
I'm not saying you guys are using bad form on your bicep curls necessarily, I think you guys are grabbing the dumbbell far too hard, and your forearms are taking a beating because of it. I train biceps after doing back (deadlifts, barbell rows, pull downs and so on...), and my forearms never even remotely feel anything the next day. Now granted, my forearms are really big, which by the way I've never done a wrist curl in my life, I got them from just lifting heavy weightsViking crew*

ye, thats why i don't bother with doing forearms cause they get worked enough from deadlift, rows, and curls

biceps are most effectively innervated when the wrists are as far supinated as possible. to do this roll ur wrists around til ur thumbs are pointing away from each other as much as possible. there are a number of forearm muscles that act as weak elbow flexors so feeling forearm soreness while curling is nothing to stress over.
