No, but they don't like America either.

America, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban are seen as enemies trying to harm Pakistan. Although, they have this view they think it is important to have good relations with the US. Being friends not masters and look forward to a longterm relationship.

When it comes down to it though most of Pakistan's rural population doesn't care and most of the poor people in the country don't even know who is the current President of Pakistan. They only care about local village issues, and don't really care about anything outside that realm.

They dislike what India has been doing the Kashmiris but genuinely want peace and to resolve the Kashmir conflict with India. The Pakistani people distrust the Indian politicians and feel as though they are not genuinely interested in peace.

Whenever tensions get high, the people of Pakistan come together and drop any petty disputes amongst each other and stand united against Indian aggression or provacation.

You would be fine visiting the following areas...

Azad Kashmir, Northern Areas, Pakistan's hill stations, Pakistan's major cities with the exception of Quetta and Peshawar, and especially Pakistan's medium size cities are really safe and quiet.

I have seen several tourists in Pakistan's Northern and Kashmir areas. Expect to be stopped at every checkpoint and asked what you are visiting the area for, security forces are always vigilant. If an area is unsafe they will turn you around and back.

First of all it isn't a military base it is a ****ing military academy like West Point. Second of all the house isn't very much different than the ones that are built in Pakistan. We are used to homes having high walls and the local people just assumed the owner was involved in the drug trade. Complicity hasn't been proven, the tip that led you to the courier actually CAME FROM PAKISTAN'S ISI.
