If I lived in another country and was thinking of moving, I wouldn't emigrate here. Comparing it with equivalent, developed countries (obviously quality of life here is better than the majority of the world), Britain always ranks relatively badly in terms of things like long working hours, higher crime rates, high taxes (but not the efficient public services that they have in, say, Scandinavia), lower educational attainment, etc.

Having said that, I don't think the UK is quite as bad as it's made out to be. I'd rather live here than a lot of other European countries.

The majority goes to the NHS, Education, and Benefits (of which only a small amount is unemployment, most benefits are for old age/children/sickness). I hate it when idiots make blanket statements about tax.

Its okay. I'm glad I'm from here but I want to move somewhere with better weather, it seriously dominates our lives. Brb summer, floods, humid as ****, raining err day, 1 nice day oiling hot. Winter is just depressingly wet, not really that cold. Traffic jams all over the place. I feel suffocated living here. I wouldn't rather live in the USA but I would definitely rather live in Australia.

This is all without getting political and touching on your feelings towards having 1 mosque per square mile and being surrounded by obese scroungers
