i just hope people realize, even though that picture wasnt taken during this storm, the Old Guard doesnt leave that post. got to see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony once....the precision and everything that goes into it is just crazy...and the lifes/training that those guys go through is pretty crazy. huge props to them.

its been like.....6-7 years since i went to Arlington National Cemetery, so i cant remember 100% from the tour...but IIRC, while those guys are doing this job, they pretty much have no life outside of guarding the tomb, and eating/sleeping.
idk if you've ever seen it in person, but the Changing of the Guard Ceremony is pretty amazing to see. you can get an idea of just how precise their movements are in the video, but its just a tad more mindblowing when they are 15 feet away from you

There's a "No one 1" ad running here and Maine (pertaining to marriage rights, in this case "No" doesn't want equality for marriage) that basically shows this wedding venue owner complaining that if he turned away homosexual patrons from his business (because he didn't agree with it), that he would be sued for discrimination.
Really don't understand that logic. #suppmiscpolitics
